I know, sir. I remember reading you album one i believe on the Media Lounge. Whilst not my style of music, it was an eclectic list, but i loved the effort you put into documenting it all.

Perhaps i'm remembering it wrong, but do you have a database that houses all this info? Anyone who makes a database to store their own personal info is alright in my books.

Indeed, I wrote a program in R with 3 different ranking mechanisms to rank my top albums and songs, feeding from a database of favorites. Another forum I frequent has an all-time song poll soon, so I might be at it again soon.

I certainly appreciated the fact that Prince had many top albums in your list. Nod of approval there for me (along with the database stuff).

Not enough Iron Maiden, though. Your one personal flaw. Please fix for future reference. :D

Prince had that groove in the 80's... I'm listening to Dirty Mind right now, what an absolutely fantastic album! :D
(Atrocious album cover though... as is the standard with Prince. :o )

I will slap both of you. I love me some Prince but... It's Michael. Dude is the only artist that has at least one song known by everyone.

I mean yes, pop is his thing, but it's not like pop rules my life.

Pop runs the world though. It's everywhere. And Prince is a funk/pop/R&B hybrid.

For the past several years it's gone back & forth between Mad Men and Game of Thrones. Mad Men is done now of course, and Game of Thrones, well, it's spotty.

You mean favorite out now? If so I'd agree if it wasn't for the last few episodes of GOT snatching that title. I think Daredevil seems way better because I watched it all the way through.

Seriously? The only artist? -- how about Bing Crosby and "White Christmas." Michael was extraordinarily popular for a reasonably short stretch of time; Prince was less known though probably more critically acclaimed but it's music -- that is to say, it's what connects with you and that could be either, or for that matter neither.

Even within the bounds of popularity, Frank Sinatra or Elvis for their day, the Beatles all time, there are several artists even more popular and more culturally relevant than MIchael Jackson though he's certainly one of the Kings of Pop.

I'm 21 and I probably don't know 10 people my age that know White Christmas... Michael Jackson is known by everyone. If not Thriller then Billie Jean. If not Billie Jean then Beat It. If not Beat It then Smooth Criminal. If not Smooth Criminal then Bad. Michael Jackson has more hit songs than anyone else even if he isn't my favorite artist.

I don't think Game of Thrones ended that impressively at all this season. Episode 8 was amazing, but a lot of the endings presented in the final 2 episodes were problematic.

Daredevil I'm really amazed at how they seem to just focus on one aspect after another and hit a home run every time.

I've only heard good things about daredevil now from everyone i've asked. Been having trouble jumping into a new series lately. Probably just the playoffs distracting me. Maybe i'll go with that one next. Still need to finish the last 5 eps of mad men, too.
