Agreed, he's gonna be a fun one to watch. Wouldn't even mind him at 20 if we didn't already have Lou, I just see some redundancy there.

Grant > RHJ in my opinion. Great passing and defensive instincts, we need a PG like that because god knows GV isn't thinking about defense and if Lowry plays in the regular season anything remotely like he did in the playoffs, we're in trouble defensively at the PG position. Insert Grant.

I like Grant a lot. I just don't like his fit on this team. His game is a lot like Demar & Kyles & I am not sure it's what this team needs more of.

I'm starting to like Wright more & more, so I'd go with him out of this group of players.

You could play Wright at the 1 or the 2 as a defensive stopper.

Shouldn't draft for need on a team that got swept in the first round. He's the most talented available so.you select him. Plus hes going to replace Trashquez it's a win-win

Jerian Grant plays a lot like Kyle Lowry. Similar style of play, obviously he's a bit taller with longer arms, but the style of play is the same. I project him as a combo guard off the bench though.

I'd probably go with Justin Anderson though at 20, out of those guys, but it seems like y'all want Grant in this mock draft.

On the general draft board under prospect most likely to surprise Delon Wright seems to be the unaminous choice. I think we are trending Looney and he could well be available if as rumours have it Vaughn or any others move up into the top 20. Pretty sure Grant is going to be there unless Houston takes him. Of all the PGs in our range Tyus has the best pure skills. So I will be happy with any of Wright, Looney, Grant or Tyus.

This. At worst he's a high level playmaking/defensive backup PG long-term.

Tyus Jones is really underrated right now imo. Maybe, it's good for him though since he's going to end up on a team that is good, probably will have a chance to make an impact immediately.

I keep going back-and-forth on Anderson, Jones, and Wright. I guess I'd be cool with either one of them.

Herrel is meh for me. Like his hustle, demeanor, mindset, and being a boards beast but would prefer someone like Looney who is 6'9, also gets boards and hits the long ball and is still pretty young. I still think with Delon, Jerian and Tyus all particle colliding at or near 20 one of those three is the right pick. i think Delon ends up in the rotation and Looney ends up on our D league team. Advantage Delon.

All you need to do is watch 5 mins each of Jerian grant and Delon wright and you can clearly see who the better player is.
Harrell is solid but his ceiling is low where Delon looks like he could turn into something special.

Make the wright choice

I'm not even paying attention this year. Every year posters hype up who they like and every year we draft someone I've never heard of. DeRozan was the only pick that was a consensus. Every pick besides DD from 2004 and on has come out of left field. Whoever we take I just hope he's good and wish him luck.

Grant it is. Thanks for the great participation.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Return to Toronto Raptors
