I have no idea why David Blatt has not played Shawn Marion this series. Dellavedova has looked exhausted at times and Marion could spell him and guard Curry. It is not like Dellavedova runs the team and acts as a point guard. Lebron runs the team and Dellavedova is just an extra ball handler and role player. This small ball game is perfectly suited for Marion and it makes no sense why he is not playing at least 5-10 minutes a game.

Now that you mentioned it, I totally forgot Marion was with the Cavs. I haven't seen in play all series it seems.

That is what I am saying. You have Marion sitting there on the bench being unused. Yet the coach plays James Jones who is nothing the player Marion is or was. Just thinking about everything that Marion can do on a basketball court from defense to rebounding to scoring on the fast break and it blows me away he has not played at all the entire series. Then Mozgov barely played tonight as well.

Just shows how done Marion must be. He hasn't been complaining either. Even Mike Miller is getting some minutes.

I think a recurring pattern in this series will be LBJ putting up historic performances and the Cavs having 4th quarter metdowns/ getting gassed and not having enough left in the tank to slow down Curry

I'm late to this one but I wanna see Blur and Gentry win a ring. I think a fully healthy Cavs team probably wins this series so get a Warriors win out of the way before Cleveland potentially runs off a title or two.

Clips only gave up Barnes and Hawes for Stephenson? Sounds like a steal of a deal as long as his head checks out

Nice strategic move by the Clippers.

Barnes is a punk and Hawes didn't play well for them. They can now test drive Stephenson and if they don't like him or he acts a fool, they can just cut him and eat his contract for the season.

But if he works out, they can pick up his option.

Smart move.

I agree Lukas. It's a low risk/high reward move in my opinion. Barnes is replaceable in FA and Hawes wasn't giving thme much anyway.

Damn embiid may be out for the season AGAIN. Karma coming for Hinkie? Or does he just extend the tank for another year?

As much as I dislike Barnes, he really filled a need for the Clips. They really need a sf and depth at the five, two things they gave up.

But heck, if somehow Lance can ruin the Clips, I'm all for it. :D

I dunno if I'd call it a steal seeing as teams were asking the Hornets to throw in a first rounder before the deadline. To get actual value for him is pretty significant.

Hawes adds the dimension Charlotte thought they were getting with Marvin Williams last season. He can be their big man shooter off the bench while Biyombo protects the paint.

He's also very cheap considering the cap is going up. Good fit.

He did but his skillset is hardly irreplaceable. Hawes was a bit of a disappointment this year and he hardly played in the playoffs. They do need to shore up thier depth in both position though. However, I'm with you, I'd love to see Lance destroy the Clips from the inside

LeBron has the worst cast of misfits on his team to ever play in the NBA finals. How he has managed to get this far makes him the GOAT of all GOATS in my book.

Well, at this point it is over. But this is a prime example when people compare best players to others when comparing finals win/loss percentages....I'm not a huge LeBron fan, but without Love and Irving and taking this to six games is about as impressive to me as a guy winning the finals with his team at full strength.

People will obviously knock LeBron down for this finals loss...funny thing is, if he doesn't even make it to the finals, many don't even use that as part of their comparison, and Jordan early in his career never could get past Bird or the Pistons, and by the time he started winning all the titles, two of the better players of all time (Magic and Bird) were done. Not saying LeBron is better or on the same level as Jordan...he has missed a bunch tonight...but Jprdam had much more help in all of his championship years than this team and his first Cavs appearance did...LeBron simply carried subpar players to get there. He doesn't have anyone on nearly the level as Pippen.

Also don't forget Warriors have been ridiculously lucky in terms of injury throughout the playoffs. Virtually every team they played had key guys not playing because of injury whereas they have been pretty much healthy the whole way. So for Lebron to take his "team" to 6 against a full strength Warriors team is definitely impressive.

Say what you want about the Warriors offense, which is great, but they were the number one defense in the league this year. They just won the championship. Defense wins championships.

I agree, but you never know if Kyrie or Love go crazy in a game or two...LeBron passing it to them on the perimeter could have been key...of course they had better D on the floor with those guys out, but you never know. I just don't discount LeBron for this finals loss like many will when they look back on history.

Yes it could have been a different outcome had Irving and Love played. And Lebron was historically good. On par with some of the other NBA greats.
