I wouldn't mind starting Bazemore. Korver could be 6th man like how Ray Allen was in MIA, still close out games.

No interest in anything NYK related.

The only asset they have is that #4 pick, and they would be asking for a 2-for-1 on any deal, meaning 2 impacts to 1 rookie.

Not happening.

The team that intrigues me is Phoenix; they have IMO lots of talent, and not enough minutes for their young guys. I know most options in the draft won't bring much help this upcoming year. I'd like to see how much the Suns value the trio of Goodwin, Warren, & Bullock.

Not sure that Bud is interested in adding any more youth though.

Geaux_Hawks wrote:Agree with Korver needing to come off the bench. We could use an upgrade in the lineup at the 2.

...a much needed combo style guard that can do alot of different things since we already have a pure shooter in Korver.

He's also 35(or will be), and we're going to need a replacement soon. If we're smart, we'll be proactive and find that now.

I definitely still agree with all of this. KK has been great for us the last few years, but at this point we really got to be on the lookout for a young guy who can create his own shot and hit open threes at a decent rate. A good two way player would also be ideal.

Two guys I like that we might be able to pursue:

Victor Oladipo and Khris Middleton.

MIL is a mess without shooters and a vet PG. ORL has a plethora of scoring wings (Tobias, Oladipo, Hezonja, Fournier) but needs shooters and maybe an upgrade in the front court.

Vic O didn't look to hot in the last Hawks-Magic tussle...but he's a smart, hard working, defensive-oriented young stud who simply needs some work (admittedly a lot of work) on his 3-pt shot.

Khris Middleton is a pretty great 3&D specialist that might cost us some serious assets to acquire.

I wish we had made a move on Fournier when his stock was lower this summer (after they re-signed Tobias and drafted Mario).

Victor O would make a nice young piece to add to our collection. (Probably would cost us Teague though, in a 3 team trade for Terrance Hunter and D Motiejunas)

THJ clearly isn't working out. And I wonder if that top 15 pick plus Mike Scott could have netted us Fournier on draft night, instead.
