If that's true, you have to go with Russell. Mudiay was supposed to be thriving in these workouts.

Mudiay being out of shape is surprising. I thought that would be one of his advantages over all of the college guys. He's said he's been practicing daily for a whole year. Practicing every day should've kept him in shape.

That's a draftexpress guy. He probably said it on a podcast.

Yeah. I just googled that quote and it's from his podcast. I don't believe it though. The workouts I saw he looked in shape. I have no idea where this is coming from. He might be missing shots but I highly doubt he's out of shape and having bad workouts.

9 more days. I just have this gut feeling that Hinkie will draft Russell and trade down to grab Porzingis.

I'll have to find the article. But basically he said he was healthy long before they let him play in the playoffs. They only allow two "active" foreigners on the roster at a time and his team was winning every game, so they never made him "active" for the games. While he was out, he said he had to participate in '2-a-days' everyday, which is more than any college or NBA team. He said he was in top shape because of this, that's why he was able to play so well in the CBA playoffs.

The report on his ankle injury was that he would be out a week or so, but his Chinese team opted to replace him with Will Bynum (like Lloyd said, only 2 foreign players, per team) for the rest of the season. That means Mudiay had essentially ~70% of the season to work out.

Poll: D'Angelo Russell or Emmanuel Mudiay?

Post#1613 » by Ericb5 » Tue Jun 16, 2015 3:31 pm

The BS fog is thick these days.

In the last few days there are reports that the Sixers won't let any of the top 3 fall to the Knicks, as well as a report that we really like Porzingis and are going to take him.

Chad Ford also reported like he added lbs of muscle or something. And his shooting stroke is much different, so I guess he atleast spent time in practice/getting in shape for that.

Amazing that Jay is still only 33 years old. It's such a shame that he's evaluating these draft prospects rather than kicking their butts in the league. Guy was an incredible talent.

Its a shame Jay Williams never got a chance to prove himself, but I doubt he would be kicking anybody's butt in the NBA. Jay Williams was a smaller CJ McCollum, in a Duke uniform.

Well, he bounced back from his accident pretty well. And he should know the PG game with his experience as a player and analyst.
