Russell is an SG in the mold of Harden and Ginobili that can handle the rock and make plays, but he's also capable of playing off the ball because of his ability to shoot the ball. He' absolutely does not have to be a super ball dominant PG that brings the ball up every possession, versus Mudiay who is exclusively a PG who will dominate the ball.
1. I don't think he nearly has the size to defend the 2 position, this is by far teh most important.
2. Harden was extremely raw coming out but could shoot the ball, he's more in the mold of Elfrid Payton with a jumpshot
3. IF your drafting Russell to be a SG, your wasting the pick. Furthermore if Detroit drafts russel, it'll because RJ or JEnnings+Dinwiddie are no longer on the team. Russels the type of player you want the ball in his hands, in our offense its the PG position.
