Haywood + Mozgov for DeAndre Jordan

For all the positive things that Timo brings to the Cavs, I'm just curious if DeAndre would further enhance what is working.

Haywood plays for the Jazz last time I checked so how can that trade happens for the Cavs?

Brendan Haywood "plays" for the Cavs, and the Cavs can most certainly trade him, cut him, or well, only those two because there is no way they pay him.

Gordon Hayward plays for the Jazz

Why would we trade for Jordan when he's a free agent? And if you check NBA.coms player tracking data, Mozgov and Jordan have very similar Fg% allowed at the rim, and Mozgov actually has the slight edge. Why not just pick up Mozgov team option and reap the benefits of his crazy team friendly deal?

Since joining the Cavs, Mozgov has actually caught more successful lobs (they said this on FSO)

Because of salary cap.

That crazy team-friendly deal only has 1 year left on it, and it expires as the cap is ballooning. Jordan is a couple of years younger, is the more efficient player (PER of 22 vs 16.5), better shot-blocker, and better rebounder.

This is not a knock on Timo, I think he is one heck of a player and a great fit for the Cavs. My concern is that with his play, a 5 year extension probably costs $80 million and ends when he is 34. And my thought was that for a few more total dollars, Jordan's prime better fits with the window.

Cavs will pick up TMov's team option and it should never have been in doubt. Dude is a modern euro style friendly big with a unique skill set.

It's crazy that he was overlooked for so long. Big. Strong. Has a jumper. Had traditional big man moves. RUNS the floor. Has good hands.

You think how good he can be out of the gates next year.

That offer gets your number blocked.

Plus the #7 pick

Bucks fan here. I saw you guys are looking to trade Haywood and a 1st. Our forum was discussing options. Would you do OJ Mayo for Haywood and 1st? or possibly a deal around Bayless. Both Mayo and Bayless could provide shooting/scoring
