Just finished watching the Charlotte Independence beat the MLS team New England Revolution in the US Open Cup 1-0. Pretty cool. Thanks to Driveandkick for the heads up about games being on youtube.

Herrera's goal was absolute world class. Similar to James Rodriguez goal in the past WC. Great win even though Revs only started like two of their regulars. Home against Charleston Saturday! Come out!

What's terrifying is the guy hasn't been found yet. Clementa Pinckney one of the victims. It was a white guy that shot up a historically black church, wonder if they'll make a big deal out of that. Either way, terrifyingly sad. Family vacations to Charleston every summer.

definitely racially motivated. In the guy's picture he's wearing a jacket with apartheid-era flags from South Africa (Rhodesia) on it.

will there ever be a time when Hollywood gets tired of "the chosen one whose destiny in life is to single-handedly save the human race from evil dudes" plot idea? I swear I see such a trailer every time I'm at the cinema and I hate this narrative with a passion. Not usually a fan of films in which I have to spend the first 30 minutes to buy in the way that particular weird universe works.

A senior law enforcement source told CNN the suspect's father had recently bought him a .45-caliber gun for his 21st birthday.

A law enforcement official says witnesses told them the gunman stood up and said he was there "to shoot black people."

Police were searching for information about Roof. A picture of him on social media showed him wearing a jacket with what appear to be the flags of apartheid-era South Africa and nearby Rhodesia, a former British colony that was ruled by a white minority until it became independent in 1980 and changed its name to Zimbabwe.

So yeah, there's a small chance it was racially charged.
