Too bad Cliff will get on his hands and knees and beg Cho to lock up Al even if Al doesn't get his act together, right?

When did I say that Al being here had anything to do with Cliford, or that we would resign him because Clifford loves him so much? All I said that it was Cliffords fault we have to deal with 35 minutes of Alfense every game.

I said I don't blame Clifford for personnel moves except with the possible exception of the Biz situation could play out. Cho did say something in the press conference about how they look for players for Clifford's system. It was a pretty generic response, but he did say it.

Al averaged 30.6 minutes. And his post ups were suddenly hurried, leading to his FG% suffering.

30.6 is still too much for how he performed last year. When he was relatively healthy he was regularly getting 35 or more minutes.

That's good news. Cho is deflecting blame on "Clifford's system" for his personnel moves and draft picks. He must be on the hot seat right along with Cliff. If they miss the playoffs, both are gone. I'm willing to lose Cliff to rid ourselves of Cho and his drafting.

It's not 35 though and had Biz not got injured, the shift away from Alfense could have been more pronounced and obvious. When Al returned he shaped up all of a sudden, passed more, took shots earlier, drifted out for more pick and rolls and screens. Obviously Cliff held him in check but being the dumb dozen Krispy Kreme before the game eating phuck he is reverted to old habits.

He didn't say it like that at all. It was a simple off-hand comment. Someone asked him about how someone fit in Clifford's system or something like that.

They might both be gone after next season. I'm not convinced Cho is a good gm or anything. I think his drafting and gm'ing has been far better than Clifford's coaching though. I don't even really mean that as much of a compliment.

True, the team looked better and the offense at least looked nicer there for a while after he was gone. Al did play a little smarter offensively there for a while and acted like he cared about defense, but it didn't last long. He still sucked when he briefly got his act together because he wasn't scoring that well and was still slow as possible.

Maybe they will address it through the coach and add a functional offense.

Right around the time Al reverted back to old habits, Biz went down, so there was no way to continue to hold Al in check. This year maybe with Biz and Hawes it can be done.

Great idea, hire a coach who can hit a 3-pointer.

People love to forget that Cho got Cliff what he asked for in better shooters and Cliff either did not use them or made them awful. His offense can drive functional shooters into the ground as well as any I have seen. I am not sure we will know what we have until we get a coach who knows how to use players to their abilities on that end.

I hope Clifford does reign Al in and I won't hesitate to give him credit if he does, but I'm not too hopeful. He specifically said in the end of season press conference that he thinks Al is our best player.

Cho has given Cliff fringe pieces, nothing more.

Daniels is not a starter. Gary Neal is not a starter. Mo Williams is not a starter. CDR is not a starter. Tolliver is not a starter.

Cho has had lottery picks in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.

Cho has selected ZERO shooters in the lottery.

And when he passes on Booker, that will be Cliff's fault as well.

If Al plays 30 minutes or under, being pressured by Biz and now Hawes, we may very well see more passes, quicker shots, more screens, more defense from Al. We started to see it last year and I highly doubt is was Al's choice. He's a stat padder so the urge to dominate the ball will remain. He will need constant reminders to be held in check. Ultimately, I don't think Al will want to be benched in a walk year looking for his next big payday.

This one is classic.

Cho has had 5 lottery picks and used zero on shooters despite this change. He clearly didn't anticipate it.

Thought it was interesting he hinted at concern of price in moving up yet says teams below don't want to offer enough to move up. Is he one of those teams? Make up your mind, Cho. Be aggressive.

We passed on Thompson, Leonard, and Knight for Biyombo and Kemba in 2011
We passed on Beal for MKG in 2012
We passed on McLemore for Zeller in 2013
and we passed on McDermott, Lavine, and Young for Vonleh in 2014

I don't have a problem with what we did in 2012 or 2013, and going for a guy we had in the top 5 in 2014 is understandable, but in hindsight the 2011 draft did not go well for us.

I think more egregiously we do not take advantage of the 2nd round of the draft, that is something that is without question hurting our ability to take full advantage of the draft. Our plans to finally have a D League team of our own was the best thing that happened to this organization in a long time.

If you isolate each year then you can make arguments either way but if you take them as a whole and consider he used zero of his 5 lottery picks for a shooter, it's inexcusable considering the direction of the league.

I think everyone here can concede that Cho DID NOT anticipate today's game. He moved UP to select Biz. Biz would have a very small role on the Warriors or Cavs.
