You say that, but last year you guys got the heavy business done early and your fanbase was still complaining at deadline day

Kieran Trippier to Spurs. Considering that our best RB for most of the year was a 20-year-old center back, great signing. I like the 3.5m release clause as well - for a 24-year old player it's a bargain.

It's a good signing. Perhaps not one that's going to thrill fans, but a solid player at a position of need, especially given Walker's struggle to regain form after injury. Then again, a lot of Spurs fans said similar things about signing Ben Davies last season and that hasn't really worked out so far.

Welcome, by the way. The more Spurs fans the better. :)

Ahaha the giroud injury and lack of CB cover with the vermaelen sale was the reason for that complaining. We need 3 signings this summer I can be patient this time!!

Jackson deal fell through, might be available for the gunners if they still want him, but I am certain he is staying in Porto

He might have to leave because szczesny has home grown status and that has become invaluable. We'll see though. I like ospina

I get the need for Cech, I believe he is still world class. I just don't get why people in England don't rate Ospina. His stats were VERY good and his inclusion to the A team coincided with the team's turn around. I keep hearing that he is too short, what a dumb complaint. Either you do your job or you don't. He is doing his job and doing well. Not world class, but he is a good keeper. Did well in France, has done great for Colombia, and did well in Arsenal, yet nobody rates him

He's leaving because he wants first team starts, which he deserves.

Signing Davies might not have worked in the direct sense but it was a major factor in Rose having a breakout year, so it's not all bad.

It's unfortunate that it looks like Ospina is on the way out to make room for Cech but I can understand why he would be leaving. He's good keeper. Maybe not good enough for an elite English club but a solid starter in a top tier league for sure. That said, Petr Cech is going to be a huge boost for us.

Is Mitchell Weiser that bad or is this just Guardiola being his usual terrible self?

Neither nor I'd say.

Weiser wasn't that convincing and especially lacked some professionalism until January. He joined Bayern in 2012 as a promising talent but it looked like he was already confident with being (at least officially) a part of Bayern's first team, earning some decent amount of money and didn't develop as expected. But he really stepped his game up during the winter break, eventually earned some playing time after Bayern had already won the Bundesliga and performed well as an offensive minded right fullback.

Leaving Bayern in order to get regular playing time is the right move for him. Although he definitely wasted some years, he's still only 21 years old. There's nothing to blame Pep for.

If Arsenal win the league next year because of Cech then I wouldnt be surprised if Mourinho walks away next summer.

Even if they get messi, they cant win. The team is cursed.

Why is Atletico selling Mandzukic?

Juventus are scary good now, Morata and Pogba (if he stays) are only going to get better, and now they aren't dependent on Tevez's whims this summer.
