Deandre Kane

Starting this thread after seeing reports that we've added Kane to our summer league team and are interested in further discussions. What are your expectations for deandre?

Considering we have so many picks this year and so many recent draftees, plus Bud's affinity for veterans over younger players.

None. I literally do not expect any significant contribution. Making the team seems unlikely. Him actually playing for the big league club seems unimaginable...this year anyway.

And with $25 million+ available, I expect Bud and Wes to pursue rotation veterans in Free Agency.

Hopefully, Kane can make an impression on another team or be impressive enough to pursue in the future should injuries begin to pile up.

Very interested in Kane; he was a difference maker in college and this could be a guy who Bud likes in the DMC role.

He probably has to have a good SL to get a serious look this fall.

Continuity is key this offseason, but now's a serious time to build some depth if we don't have some of our starters back.

Lol, I glanced at the realgm headlines and thought it said "Hawks, DeAndre Jordan commit" and had to do a quick double take.

I hope this means we have some draft moves happening. Maybe shelvin is on the move and that's why they are taking a look at Kane...maybe a good third string replacement?

Can add Lamar Patterson to the list, another guy who gained some experience in competitive Pro League overseas.
