Could have just been joking. Who knows

Ive seen him talk. He definitely doesn't joke about his talent. That can either be a good or bad thing. Its funny how he is comparing himself to the arguable GOAt of football.

He certainly has the work ethics to improve to be GOAT Croatian bball player. And that, IMO, is harder than becoming a good player in the NBA.

He is projected to be Klay in the NBA. Klay didn't have NBA ready body like Mario had at 20 nor handles (which aren't anything special, good for third ball handler behind Kobe/Clarkson) nor the footwork and I think Mario has Curry-like range (not the ability) and he is certainly not afraid to take the big shot.

Towns and Kaminsky interviewed the best out of this, Russell also wasn't too bad

Okafor on the other hand was a bit iffy

Towns and Kaminsky are well spoken. Okafor reminds me of Duncan. Very stoic in his demeanor.

yeah, Duncan is well spoken though, Okafor really wasn't that great in this interview. I mean he talked about his passion but i didn't really feel it from him, worried we may be drafting another Bynum which would be really annoying

Okafor mentioned that Miller's 9 quick buckets broke his heart...he was a toddler, if that, when that happened.

Yes, you're right. Watched it earlier today and mixed the two. Apologies

I got a Tim Duncan vibe from Okafor in that video also.

Jahlil my be stoic in his demeanor like Tim, but the difference is that Tim was NEVER personable. Jahlil from other interviews that I've seen does have some personality. And at least he's not a clown-ass like Dwight. I thought Jahlil did well in the round table interview.

Draft insight from NY

Post#1392 » by knicksup19 » Sun Jun 21, 2015 1:57 am

Jackson has given up on Okafor at No. 4, according to a source. Jackson rarely talks to other teams (that’s GM Steve Mills’ job) but he does have strong connections to the Lakers with their president Jeanie Buss as his fiancée.
Also, the wife of Knicks assistant coach Kurt Rambis works in the Lakers front office, and coach Derek Fisher is friends with Lakers coach Byron Scott. So the Knicks have a good inkling that Okafor and the Lakers are a likely Hollywood match. (Jackson hasn’t moved to work out Okafor).

from the NY post

Also Phil has said "we shifted attention to guard and wings?

Expect Okafor at number 2

Let's hope that Ok4 is dominating like Duncan and Shaq. Prove to the critics wrong about his shortcomings and is the right franchise center in this draft and not Towns.

Towns will be a PF and groomed by one of the 3 best PFs ever in KG. He's too frail to be a 5 and he loves the perimeter shot when Cal isn't forcing his ass down low. Poor mans Sheed IMO

You have no idea what you're talking about. Towns is not too frail to be a 5. He's athletic and strong. The guy is 250 lbs which is heavier than Ewing and Robinson and about even with Hakeem. He pretty much measures the same as Duncan.

The #2 Pick

Some fans on the T-Wilves board see him as a 4 to. They think he could play next to Dieng.

He's strong? He has twig legs that aren't proportionate with his body. He was a shot blocker in the NCAA sure, but he also was incredibly foul prone because guys would hit him with their body and he couldn't withstand the blow. Kaminsky served him a can of whoop ass inside and on the glass when they met. And he's never played real minutes even in college. Hell he couldn't even dominate in the tourney down low. He's lite in the cakes and going to get that ass served up out west at the 5 and at the 4 too whe ZBO, Unibrow, and Blake come to town. He will be a 4 in Minny along with KG and Pek/Dieng will be at the 5 to protect him, but make no mistake, his flaws will be exposed with real minutes and no Trill running around to cover for him
