Even with Bron going apesh*t and nearly averaging a triple double a game, this was a no contest. Dubs get a championship that will forever be attached to an asterisk of "what if?".

No they won't. They won fair and square. Injuries happen all the time and it isn't the Dubs fault the Cavs couldn't run a healthy team. There's nothing controversial about their win.

Meh, I find it sad that a ton of fouling is considered good defense. If Amare was allowed to foul that much, he would win DPOY. I loved watching all the replays, because it shows how often the Dubs foul, sometimes it took three or four fouls to get a call, and even after that, they still didn't call a foul. The two first games shouldn't have gone into overtime if fouls are called.

Then there is all those offensive moving screens. Just embarrassing that this was the finals in what is supposed to be the best basketball in the world. I have no idea how a coach explains what a legal screen is to his players, when they see the likes of Bogut, Dray, and others like Noah, Chandler, purposely moving into the defender at the last second, or just full on shoving that player like Duncan did for years. No wonder guys are wide open.

Oh well, I'm glad this season is over, but this league really needs to be more consistent in their reffing.

The Warriors set so many illegal screens. They are impossible to guard when their bigs move as they're screening the knock down shooters.

Well they won fair and square if moving screens have officially been declared as legal :P :P

He was fired because he wasn't a good head coach. He is a good assistant coach, and nice guy.

I thought Gentry was a fantastic coach. The Suns did him wrong. Lance Blanks put together such terrible rosters for him. Turkoglu and Frye at power forward and center? He was probably my favorite all-time Suns coach and the organization screwed him over with that terrible roster and then firing him and replacing him with Lindsey Hunter. Suns were a laughingstock that season. Built a team around Michael Beasley. Gregg Popovich would not have been able to do anything with that roster. I loved Gentry.

My memory paints a different story. He made poor in game substitutions, getting to a point where guys made their regular schedule substitution regardless of how well the player they were subbing in for was doing. He often rested both Nash and Hill at the same time, which was probably the dumbest thing ever, and often left our team with no floor general, and because he was so soft on discipline, he couldn't run the team without a floor leader. After his fluke success of 2010, he kept searching for a two squad lineup regardless of the personnel, which was not equip to do so. The main problem that he had with the search, was the chemistry of that 2010 team is what made them so successful, not the two squads. Throughout that season, you could see players that were supposed to make their regularly scheduled check in, either walk back to the bench themselves, or look back at the coach asking if they really should sub because the other player was doing well.

He started Earl Baron, started Turk at the four, and finished the season starting a completely disinterested Carter. We lost so many games because Gentry either just didn't care to coach, or was so bad at it.

But he was a nice guy, and let Nash run the team, which was the best thing for the Suns. He was also a good assistant coach, and I liked how he talked to players and Goran. Although that great relationship with Goran didn't translate into Goran breaking out, in fact Goran seemed to get worse before we traded him the first time, even though Gentry was there.

Oh well, players liked him, and apparently fans did as well. He probably would do well with a team full of vets that already know what they are doing. But from what I saw him do, and not do, I thought he did a poor job at the head coach spot, and it made sense to fire him, just like ever other head coach job he has had.

Stephen Curry and Draymond Green became the first players to have a plus/minus over 1,000 for a single season since the NBA began counting the stat in 1997.

Curry finished at +1,083 for the regular season and playoffs, while Green's total was +1,031.

LeBron James was the previous record holder at +992 during the 08-09 season ahead of Michael Jordan's +954 in 97-98.

Any thoughts on this? I've always thought plus/minus stats were a bit shallow.

I'd like Los Soles to chime in and give us his thoughts

Some of you may have read this, but do you know who was the only person in the NBA this past year to go 50/40/90? Make a guess before clicking on the link.....

Forget Porzingis, forget Kaminsky. Meyers Leonard is the new Dirk

Low volume though. If could double or triple that volume and still maintain 40/50/90 efficiency then Portland has a real prize.

I imagine he will get more minutes. But relatively speaking, it isn't terribly low volume given the fact he barely shot more 2s. It more comes down to the fact that Lopez played more minutes. He could be really valuable if he is a 40% shooting 5. The problem is rim protection...he didn't have many blocks and Aldridge isn't a rim protector. Usually you want a stretch guy to play with a rim protector.

That's why Ibaka is so valuable, since now does both.

Fakers looking to deal for Boogie. Vlad said he's untouchable but getting Randle and the #2 pick for him straight up might be the best deal available for the Kings if they're looking to move him this offseason
