Any deal involving us sending you guys an asset for Haywood is probably a no-go TBH, that is after we originally sent him AND a pick to you guys for Jack **** (which may as well have been the actual name of the player we got in the deal before sending him to the Pelicans for nothing, just so they could use his contract in the Asik deal).

Hendo for Haywood would literally be, by the transitive property:

CLE in: Henderson, Dwight Powell (second rounder we gave away)
CHA in: Cash

When did the player who you hoped would opt out become an asset?

He didn't. This is a solid money saving move.

At this point the two things I think will piss me off is trading up for mediocre players or drafting a reach PF at our spot. What I would like to do is see if we can figure out a way to acquire another pick in our range. We have a couple of big holes right now at SG and backup PG. if we can land one of Payne/Grant and one of Oubre/Booker/Hezonja I would be thrilled. We still have Barnes to help a team clear some cap space for a team too.

I would give pick 39 to get rid of Hendo for Haywood. They could dream on Iggy with Hendo.

What would be the point of trading Hendo for cap space that we wouldn't be able to use on anything relevant? It might be a different story after the draft, but as of now all we would be doing is opening up more minutes for PJ. Stealth tank?

Trade Al + 39 for Mayo + 17 and then trade Marvin + 9 + 17 for Landry/Thompson + 6.

Ok, I am officially completely out of trade ideas to move up and select Hezonja. Sorry to anyone who got tired of my near daily fake trade ideas. Its finally over.

What about Al Jefferson + 9 for Gerald Wallace, Evan Turner, the 16, and _________? The Celtics move up to get who they want, we get addition by subtraction and resign Biyombo. We could target R.J. Hunter with that pick. I'm trying to be realistic here, because I don't think Al Jefferson has much value. With the blank I was going to say a future protected first, but realistically I don't think they'd give us that.

I would take out Turner and ask for Avery Bradley or James Young and a future 1st. Al may not have much value, but 16 to 9 is a big jump.

If we trade Jefferson and our pick to the Celtics for Wallace and 16 I want the Nets pick coming back. I'd also ask for Young to come back our way. The only problem with moving back that far though is that we'd likely miss out on Payne, so I guess Grant would be our guy. With Billy King in charge the 2016 Nets pick could end up being in the top 5. That's the only thing that would make the deal fly to me.

I am excited that there could be some good movement in the draft. I would look to Portland and see if they would be interested in Al for Batum or something like that.

No way we should give up assets for a chance at Hezonja imo.

He'll probably be available at #9 and if he's not, a better prospect will be, Booker is a better prospect imo.

In regards to Hendo, he holds value to us, until we upgrade the spot at least.

Giving up on our incumbent starting SG when we don't have a replacement is very...stupid

Al needs to be traded.

We should shop Kemba too imo.

I could understand trading Hendo if we had James Young or Rodney Hood, but we've got P.J freaking Hairston...

Troy Daniels is better than him...

Any room for this guy in place of Hendo?

It seems we will lose Mo to the Cavs and we really need to upgrade Roberts, yet do it without keeping his salary. We have very little breathing room. But we could leverage Barnes' contract to do it.

Roberts + Barnes for Jarrett Jack

The Nets could unload an extra year of Jack and save 2.5 million if they waive Barnes.

It is extremely difficult to move Roberts in a trade that upgrades him.

Roberts isn't on enough to even be worried imo.

It's the roster spot that hurts more than anything.

Worst case just get Pargo back for more insurance.

I disagree. Backup PG is a pressing need (along with SG).

Is it possible to package Al in a deal for the #11 pick without giving up #9?

If we take WCS at #9, Indiana's options for a big would be slim. I could see them being interested in Al. Then we take Booker at #11.

Probably not. Pacers are talking about playing a more uptempo style, so they probably have no use for one of if not the slowest, no defense playing centers in the league

Aldridge is saying that Barnes and Messy Marv to Cleveland for Haywood's contract and a future 1st is a possibility. I'd jump at that.

That is freaking AWESOME. Cavs looking to get deeper and we need the cap space.
