Most of you don't remember him as a player but he was pretty good. He filled in for Uecker a few times last year on the radio. RIP
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Hell of a player. Speed and defense and those Trebelhorn teams never stopped running.

Damn shame. RIP Hambone.

Terrible news. My heart sunk when I heard. He was actually pretty solid when he did some Brewers announcing work - and had a solid career as a ballplayer.

RIP Hambone.

This is just unreal, he was soooooo happy filling in for Uke last year, loved the Brewers and being around this city. I knew as soon as I heard this story he was going to be the victim and not the perp, so sad.

I had really hoped he would take over Uke in the coming years, really a sad day for not only the brewers but for the entire baseball world.
RIP.

Damn. Loved him on the field, loved him in the booth. 1992 is still one of my favorite seasons ever for any of the teams I root for, and he was terrific. Wish the Brewers would get more reliable all-around players like him on a regular basis.

RIP Darryl... He was always one of my favorite players as a kid. Just really sad that their 14 month old son is left behind in the wake of this.

I remember him as a player as a youngster and my Grandpa always liked him b/c always had a smile. I enjoyed his time as radio analyst in the few times I heard. Terrible story, especially with the 14 month losing his dad (and assume mom). Hard to wrap my mind around these things.
