Also not a huge Booker fan. I have had Trey Lyles, Bobby Portis, Kelly Oubre and Cameron Payne grow on me over the past few weeks.

My wish list in order: Cameron Payne, Devin Booker, Willie Cauley-Stein, Stanley Johnson, Bobby Portis. I wrote about why each one would be good for the Pacers here: http://hoopshabit.com/2015/06/19/5-players-indiana-pacers-consider-taking-11th-pick/.
Among players I DON'T want: Myles Turner (big games against bad teams, a lot of no-shows in better quality opponents), Kaminsky (not sold on him being a part of an offense and not the main part of an offense), and Trey Lyles (not sure what his one NBA skill is, although playing out of position often at UK might have hidden his talents).

Re: Drafts Soon, Who's on everyone's wish list?
It may depend on how we want to play next year. I agree with BPA. Hill and Paul are both flexible. Hopefully someone falls to us.
The one guy I don't want falling is Kaminski. He was obviously a heck of a college player and could stretch the floor. I'm just afraid if we go small then our defense would take a hit, especially at the 5.
But hey, maybe the Pacers want to be like the Colts and just score as much as we can. Get Kaminski and win 120-115.
My dream scenario is trading the pick with something (not sure if it'd need to be a multi-year deal let alone the players) and getting Kenneth Faried on the Pacers. Don't think that'll happen... so we shall see!

If you're willing to eat Farieds contract for expiring deals, I'm not sure you have to pay anything else. He can't shoot, or defend the rim, let alone defend anything. His rebounding is great when he was paid under $2m a year, but at a new deal of $50m over 4 years, with no other proven talents to his name, there's not much positive value right now.

It seems like the board is cooling on WCS.
He is the 1 guy that I think is worth the #11, actually I think he is top 5.
Most athletic BIG I have ever seen. He is the only guy in this draft that can come in day 1 and give you a better chance of defending LeBron. Not that the goal is to build a team to beat LeBron, but that better be in the back of everyone's minds for the next 3-5 years. He is big enough, long enough and quick enough to play James, or drop him in the post and put him on Mosgov...
I want WCS!

Re: Drafts Soon, Who's on everyone's wish list?
there are some interesting articles and podcasts here on realgm. good stuff on ranking power forwards with analytics and on the need for backup centers who can defend small ball. I think WCS can be that backup but there are others. my wish list is a mobile 4/5 and a backup one. I think we're more likely to buy a low pick than to trade down. we tend to take our guy even if the mocks say we could trade down and still get him. I expect to be surprised at 11.

I wouldn't say we're cooling on him. I just think few of us really believe he's falling down the boards to us like the mocks imply.
He'd be a good one, definitely.

Re: Drafts Soon, Who's on everyone's wish list?
watched the presser. Pritchard didn't name names but he said there is always a tier one and this year there are three to five guys there, and we're looking at tier two. He said that this year tier two is deep and includes 11. They like 4 or so tier two guys and feel confident one will be there at 11. He expects a tier two pick to be a rotation player at first and eventually a starter. Tier one is superstars. I suppose that means tier three guys are rotation players. 11 is often into tier three but this year he thinks it will still be tier two. He said the problem with trading down is that the draft then picks for you. He also mentioned that they like what they can get at 43.
several times he said you can't run unless you can get stops and rebound and so playing faster still requires a center that can get the ball and make the outlet pass. reminded me of Bill Russel who was 6'9" and not much of an offensive threat. that Boston team regularly hit 100 points at the end of the third quarter.

Still yet to watch the full length of the presser, but it looks like the front office is leaning towards position-less basketball.
First guy that I thought of was Trey Lyles. I am not sold on him, but if we need someone who can play multiple positions, he's better at it than the other guys within our range. Lyles / Kaminsky / WCS / Payne. But I'd really rather have Payne or WCS. In the second round, I think there are a number of rebounding big guys within the 43rd range - guys like Christmas, Richaun Holmes, Cliff Alexander, etc.
