I m really surprised we didn't invite him

Look from this perspective. Even if some prospects don't get invites to pre-draft workouts doesn't mean the teams haven't done their due diligence on the prospect in question. Sometimes it's best not to bring some players in just in case like the situation with Philly on last summer were to happen. Teams have to keep some leverage to keep their competitors from stealing their ideas or targets in this case.

Agreed. We didn't bring Payton in for a workout either right?

I don't recalled the Magic bringing in EP for a workout. Most of us were so busy debating our case last summer about bringing in either Marcus Smart or Dante Exum that the majority didn't give a thought about EP. Thxfully Henny made the best choice. He will look to do the same thing this Thursday at the draft.

Elf was brought in for a workout.

As for Turner, I wouldn't be surprised if Rob worked him out when he went to see Kristaps. Both guys worked out that day for the GMs, and with Rob being super secret, I could see them doing a private workout and interview while in Vegas.

I think he's my darkhorse pick for Thursday. Would be completely out of the blue because of the lack of rumors linking us to him.

I could see Detroit reaching for Turner/Kaminsky rather than picking up a SF.

I doubt that for a couple reasons.

1. They have a hole at SF that needs filling.
2. They currently only have Prince and Martin's corpses at SF.
3. KCP is more of a SG than a SF.
4. They already have 2 shooting bigs in Illyasova and Tolliver.

I genuinely forgot they traded for Illy, I retract my statement.

If they hadn't made that trade, I'd probably agree with you. I think the Pistons would of considered riding with Prince/Butler/Martin at SF for the year.

I just feel like they desperately are in need of shooting. Think about it none of their starters shoot high percentages (Jackson/KCP/Drummond and now a rookie in Johnson (supposedly their high on).

My original thoughts were they target Kaminsky/Turner to spread the floor and they take care of their SF issue through free agency (maybe Harris which will fit perfect and were in the past linked to).

I personally like

Jackson
KCP
Harris/Carroll/D Green
Kaminsky/Turner
Drummond

much more better than

Jackson
KCP
S Johnson
Illy
Drummond

Maybe the Pistons would of, but you can't always count on free agency working out the way you want it. At least with the draft and trades you have control over what personnel is getting on your team.

With Ilyasova's inconsistencies so far into his career, I'm not so convinced he's the answer for the Pistons in spite of their need at SF.
