Well, Vonleh can discuss how to avoid bench sores and keeping the blood flow up during games with whomever we pick at #9.

Jefferson getting traded is about as likely as Walker allegedly faking an injury to get back at the organization for not getting Lamb.

So there's a 60% chance then. Lol

Hawes is a player who can play Al's role when Al inevitably gets injured and the team game plan will remain consistent throughout the year.

I can't imagine a world where this front office trades a fan favorite to start Bismack Biyombo.

I don't think anyone from MJ to Cho down to Cliff would entrust Biz as a starter.

He's a 3rd string center on this team and on the verge of departure.

Zeller is poised to take his minutes as the emergency center (backup center) in addition to PF with Vonleh getting more minutes.

Biz is the real peoples champ. Hes better than you give him credit for. He is already a mid tier backup at worst. He was better than Cody when he got starter minutes. He is a 3rd string center in the same way Al is a franchise player. They only have those respective roles because our coach is out of his mind. That being said, I think if we were to get rid of Al that Hawes might be the better choice as the starter. His skillset is needed more in our first unit than Biz's and he could potentially make everyones life easier on offense.

Let me clarify. He's a 3rd string center on this current roster behind Al and Hawes in the eyes of the front office. I don't see Al getting traded and Biz moving up to backup or starter. The team has a starter on a short commitment, a backup on a long commitment and so they're positioned to let go of Biz. Plus they investigated Oden, whose skill set overlaps with Biz.

That was one of the funniest threads i've seen on this board. I've been faking an injury in silent protest since last week after the hawes trade

Is it really going to take anything more than the qualifying offer to retain Biz for next season? Think about it. His agent should be focused on two things, 1) getting him away from Clifford and this franchise, 2) maximizing his next contract. Now, if he signs an offer sheet with a team this summer it will be at a salary based on the current cap and if we decide to match then he is stuck in Charlotte for a while. If he just takes the qualifying offer from us he can enter free agency next season unrestricted at the same time tons of teams are going to have lots of cap space.
