See Vucevic and the 5th being traded for him... ESPECIALLY if Mudiay falls that far...

Lol a team picking a coach over a all nba player just comical.

What would be comical is bringing in a coach without being on the same page with him about the players on your team, now that is just comical. That makes me question the validity of this, and if it is true, then I'm not sure what it is exactly that the Kings are doing.

I've thought Karl was shady ever since I watched All That Jazz.

The guy that hired Karl isn't even in the front office anymore...

This is a team where the main headlines about them revolved around playing 4 vs 5 defense. Let's be real here, this is far from the craziest thing we've read about the Kings in recent years.

If anything, the deal should be Wall + filler for Boogie. Boogie is a man amongst boys in the NBA. A Core of Boogie + Beal has a higher ceiling that Wall + Beal too imo.

I could see that working.

There is an absolute 0% chance the Wizards trade john wall

Still can't fathom hiring a coach without even knowing whether he likes that players that are on your team or being on the same page about the direction you want to go with the roster. Just seems like a basic thing to do.

If Karl get what he wants (trade Cousins), I hope the Kings get fleeced HARD and lose a bunch of fans in the process.

Hey Vivek, how does an empty new stadium look like, huh? You like it? Well, that is what you are going to see if you let Karl override you and force your hand in trading Cousins away.

Trading away Cousins would be the final straw for many people in Sacramento. We love this team but this is simply too much s#@! to deal with.

Kings fans have to trust Vlade at this point as he's the one making the final call.

Karl is a idiot if this is legit. He's clearly more expendable than DMC and most likely won't get another opportunity to coach an NBA team.

All jokes aside. Lakers should trade their #2 for Cousins. Let the Kings work with a rookie. Cousins is young enough that they wouldn't really be sacrificing their future if they get him.

Clarkson/Cousins/Randle would be a good jumping off point for the Lakers. Add a decent free agent or two in the summer and they could be right back on track.

I think Kareem would really help his game too.

Kings wouldn't make out too bad either. Okafor would slide right in where Cousins left off, and if they get Winslow, then they'll have a nice little core to work with as Staukas develops as well.

the franchise wouldve been much better off moving to Seattle with that ownership instead of that idiot Ranadive running the show.

According to the article, they want veterans, not necessarily draft pick(s) for Cousins....although, I'm pretty sure they'll get pick(s) in some form.

Woj's pinky finger has more credibility and breaking news dap than this board and every RealGM writer combined. That's why this is growing legs.

My guess is Karl came on board midseason with a license to try out the roster and is now giving his 2 cents after he:
1) Coached these players for a couple of months and had a personal evaluation to go with the one he had previously as an outsider.
2) Saw the Warriors win the title with an uptempo style similar to the one he prefers.

I'm not making a judgment whether he's full of it or not, but a lot would depend on the offers.
