I would NEVER give up Clarkson.

He is the Lakers' future. They need him, hes improving almost every day, he has heart and skill, and DRIVE. Hes practicing while other players are partying. Hes only being paid 800k next year. IF lakers trade him for anyone ill be disspointed. Even if its for Cousins. **** that, no to trading clarkson. I like randle alot too but hes unproven. Id pick clarkson out of those two anyday.

Same here. I guess I'm just not seeing what a lot of other people are seeing in Clarkson. He played well in the second half of the season, but not well enough for me to pass up on an opportunity for a franchise center.

It's still in the back of the head of most people that he was selected with the 46th pick and wasn't a college star.
If he was a top ten pick he would have been a bust in the first half of the season and the expected prospect in the second part.

I'm also against a trade of Clarkson and for Cousins. At least for now.

I prefer to see how our new core of young talents work. If Clarkson, Randle and Okafor (I guess) can live up or exceed all expectations, there's no need for a trade.

I would never give up Clarkson unless we get Westbrook, Curry or Wall in return.

For me Clarkson is worth around a mid range 1st round pick, partly due to the pick being locked into a rookie deal for half a decade. I see him in the same class as a player like MCW, good at a lot of things but not really great at anything, as a guard I don't forecast him as a player who is going to be the one with the ball in his hands with a playoff series on the line and I don't forecast him as an elite 3pt shooter that can play that off the ball role to its full extent. Add in that he's up for a new deal in one year when the cap rises and that's where I come to his value.

I think he's going to be a really good player and a key piece to a title but as a complimentary player like Rick fox, Derek fisher, etc. Essential player but not irreplaceable and not someone that is part of a "big 3".

Hope I'm totally wrong though.

Honestly, the only way I would give up Clarkson is if there was a way to get Russell. IF the Kings were receptive to a Clarkson/Randle for Boogie package, I'd seriously consider that deal and then take Russell at #2, but I'm not sure I do more than #2 for DMC. Again, not because I don't think Boogie is that good, but when you factor in all of the information I'm not sure the difference between DMC and Okafor is Clarkson/Randle.

Clarkson is very replaceable. If another team were giving you a player who fits a more valuable role on your team, I'd trade him.

He needs more time, but, unfortunately, with his contract, he doesn't have much, because he'll expect to be paid.

Rashad Vaughn is better, but that's becoming less and less a secret everyday now.

Well i would rather trade Randle than Clarkson but it could be tough if you get to keep the #2
and can draft Russel and team with with Randle and Cousins.
Whatever you do don't give the #2 with a up and coming Star.

Give #2 or an up an coming star but not both together.
With the #2 you can draft Russell

Clarkson, Cousins, Randle, or how about with KD in 2016

or

Russel, Cousins and Randle and KD in 2016

If that don't work you give up

Clarkson only if you know Westbrook were coming.

Then you would Build around Randle, Cousins and WB in 2016

I would decide who you go hard after in 2016. Is it KD which I would do or WB which
is a great option it depends on the pieces you have.
