To be fair (with Karl and Kings, if they eventually do this trade), shouldn't we judge any deal after the fact? Let's burn them if they don't get equal or better value.

The Kings should fire George Karl and hire Marc Jackson

Any Cousins trade would be idiotic. Period. The only big man who is younger and has a higher ceiling in the entire league is Anthony Davis.

Rather he walked then trade him. You don't trade people of that talent level.

IMO Cousins is the only player left in the NBA whose post ability teams still have to fear. (Okay, maybe LeBron is the other). For that reason alone a team of Cousins with four 3-point shooters would be absolutely awesome to watch ala the Dwight Magic.

So basically if Karl doesn't want to build around that idk what he's thinking....

There’s a lot of confirmation I need to still do, but I feel comfortable saying that the Kings are paying the piper for past transgressions.

And there is a clearly coordinated attempt to try and accelerate any frustration that DeMarcus Cousins might have with the Kings.

all wishful thinking. People want Cousins to blow up and demand a trade so bad  rumors coming from all
over the place. What else is new? its draft time

George Karl is pretty much fired. I say before the draft.

Kings fans should start a Fire Karl lobby immediately. Website, calls to talk radio nightly, tweet at Vivek every hour. I'm serious, this is outta control. Please fire Karl. He's just a joke of a coach at this point.

If you want someone to run your franchise player off, Karl is your man.
Rest in peace Kobe & Gianna

Kings wouldn't be wrong to trade Cousins. They are in no man's land. Can't even win 30-ish games for years and still aren't bad enough to pick up a top 3 pick with a decent chance of adding another franchise player either.

If you can get Clarkson + Okafor + #27 for Cousins take it and run. Run fast & far and be truely horrible next season.
Okafor + Clarkson + Hezonja + #27 + #1-4 in 2016 would be an amazing core to start a rebuild with.

Tanking is a last resort. You don't just say "Ah, what the heck let's tank." Sixers started the sport tank when they had already given up Iguodala and Bynum had been a bust. Then they had some limited pieces they thought they might as well move to hasten the tank. Sixers (or any team like them) with a Cousins type player don't tank in my view.

Roster with one superstar and unfinished pieces is not hopeless.

Only problem in near future: harsh Western Conference.

Purely from a fan perspective, Cousins leaving Sacramento is the one thing that could really shake up the league.

Especially if he ends up paired with another good player in the East. That would significantly help rebalance the conferences. (This and perhaps a Westbrook or even Durant move to the East in 2016)

When they had the right coach, they clearly showed signs that 30 wins wasn't the best they could do

Cousins can lead a team to a lot more than that, despite what some think and what some are hoping for him.

Bet Karl thinks this will have the same effect as when Denver traded out Melo.

Yep. You dudes don't deserve this. Kings should be a great org, and easily could be if they didn't have clowns in management making decisions that a worse than some of the drivel written on here.

Do the right thing Kings, send Cousins to Beantown to the good guys.

Are Kings making finals in the next few years?

They timed their jump wrong and they surrounded Cousins with the wrong players. They messed up.

Trading Cousins isn't a mistake, it's actually a way to have a do over with high picks and a selection of players.

Hard pill to swallow though
