Philly fans want Russell. Hinkie wants BPA. Whether he kept him or used him to shake down the Knicks and/or the Magic, Sam would be all smiles taking Okafor.

You work for hinkie?

I like the idea of acquiring our pick that we traded for Nash. Philly is really worried we might select Russell...lol

Or they really want Okafor due to Embiid's issues. Either way i can't remember the last time a trade was ever made in the draft to move up a single spot. The whole premise makes no sense to me. You'd have to give up so much to get the other team with the pick ahead of you to draft down a spot and in order to settle for a player they have second on their board at #2 instead of 1st. Hence why this rumor sounds like utter BS and nothing more than click-bait.

Definitely worth it. Only thing is Kings would want more assets (Randle/Clarkson/picks) which wouldn't make it worthwhile for us.

The second pick's ceiling might not even be good as Cousins is currently right now. I'd easily trade the 2nd, 27th and 34th for Cousins or 2nd and Randle. Anything more than that we either have to get back Sacramento's pick or offload Nick Young's contract.

Id keep randle and clarkson at all cost....cousins comes with alot of baggage and risk

I'm really keen on Clarkson, but I don't know if I'd keep Randle at all costs. If the number two and Randle can net us Cousins, you'd have to seriously consider it. Cousins is only 24 and is on a great contract himself.

I'm not saying Karl is a great judge of character or a great coach but if he wants to get rid of such a talent in cousin with just a half season together that should give you serious pause

Yep, makes no sense for Philly to make an offer before the draft. If the lakers want Okafor, they'll have to pick him and leave Russell for Philly. If the lakers pick Russell but are willing to trade him for Okafor plus pick, the sixers can just offer that after the lakers actually pick Russell.

Some guys just need the right situation. . . Z-Bo is the perfect example of this. Personally, I'd much rather have Okafor. I like the idea of having a player who's already so polished, but also has a ton of potential, on such a great contract. I think Okafor has everything you'd need to succeed at the next level. At the same time, all I'm saying is, if management wants to move up the timeline, I wouldn't be opposed to the Cousins trade. I'd definitely want to keep Clarkson, though.

On sportscenter they stated during one of their draft segments that Jerry West is on record stating that he believes Russell will be the best player in the draft and that he sees him being a 15 time all star

Well to be honest Karl is an egotistical jerk off and has managed to alienate his players every team he's coached. I'm thinking that the problem isn't as much Cousins as the need for George Karl to peacock.

If Jerry West says this I'd draft Russell without hesitation. I'm not even being facetious. I have no idea why we let the guy go.

Hmm, that sounds familiar, don't it? 8-) 8-)

Been on the Russell wagon all year and still prefer him at no.2 before the bigs....

Karl is bumped heads with a lot of guys: Ray Allen, Carmelo Anthony, now Cousins. There are probably more.
