One small problem: Deandre Jordan aint leavin' the Clippers.

I have a suggestion too: Let's sign Lebron James.

I really hope that isn't a player comparison. If so, you might want to stick with your day job.

Russell is waay overrated. Dudes got no athleticism. No hops. Cant take over games when called upon to do so. Nice passing skills. Tentative shooter. Hey, who does that sound like?

I prefer Russell as well, but Okafor is the safe pick.

I like Okafor largely because his character as well as his talent. It would be nice to rebuild the team with talent and character while bringing some class back to our organization. Okafor, Randle, and Clarkson all seem classy. I love Cousins talent but it would be nice to have a stable franchise again. I think that will make free agents want to come here again. Not that this was always the issue. Kobe is classy but we have had some issues clearly with his attitude. Would be nice to not have this issue going forward in the future. That being said clearly I respect and love Kobe as he is my favorite Laker of all time.

I kind of think there's genuine friction between him and Paul. If he wants to stay in LA, make big bucks and not deal with Cliff, he knows where to sign.

In my opinion they're both safe picks. That's what I love about this upcoming pick, its idiot proof and we're coming out of it with a surefire stud either way.

draft okafor and re-inforce the inside/outside game.

hes a great passer from the post....there's always an option of trading randle for a defensive PF (thats why horace grant was brought in by the lakers back in 2001)
take a look at danny green, wes matthews, demarre carroll.
let clarkson start and let him develop into a stud system player

I think you might want to go rewatch games of Russell if you think he's a tenative shooter. Rondo was a guy who had virtually no jump shot, even worse than Marcus Smart coming out of college. And you don't have to be able to jump out of the gym to be a good NBA player. Hell, neither James Harden or Steph Curry are what I'd considered great athletes, but both of them are amongst the top at their positions.

Agreed.

Clarkson/Matthews/Kobe/Randle/Okafor

Not so bad.

Lol.. Russel is a way better shooter than Rondo ever was or ever be. Hes also got a 39" vertical. Also averaged 19 pts a game as a freshman.

I know for sure on the sport science segment on ESPN where they covered Russell this week they mention his 39in vert. They also mention his wingspan that combined with his vert allows him to cover more range than someone like K. Leonard.

They also tested his reaction time and if I recall correctly he scored in the top ten percent of all the athletes they've covered.

You'd think he'd be the consensus number 1 pick then.....

He may be... I find the 'trade rubio' rumors interesting. I definitely could see the Wolves take Russel and trade Rubio...

Within the first minute they mention his wingspan and 39" vert
