Bostons offer for Noel and the 3rd is pretty hilarious.

You can't say Ainge didn't try I guess. He's been known to make delusional offers public from time to time.

Re: Around the League
Monroe reminds me of SAR. Solid guy, but will be overpaid and looked at as a failure for not producing. Only possible saving grace here is the dramatic cap increase may not make him look like the terrible signing he otherwise probably would be.
And this is no knock on Greg. Truly. Same thing happened with Juwan Howard when he signed for the Max. Not his fault some idiot overpaid him. I'd have taken that paycheck too. But he was looked at as an albatross for not being the franchise player he was being paid to be, and because of that never truly got credit for being the damn solid player he was until well late into his career when he moved on this 3rd/4th contract.
Moose is a very solid player and can help any number of teams. Just dont expect him to be some savior. He's your 3rd or 4th best player. Maybe 2nd with a legit superstar and solid supporting cast, but that's very situational.

^Portland operating on LMA already gone? Also Charlotte keeps their pick. Could be targeting Kaminsky now.

Re: Around the League
I was just coming here to post this. Bummer for us I think. With the lack SF available in unrestricted free agency, it seemed likely we would have had to trade for one and Batum has always been intriguing to me. Now there's one less SF out there available. Apparently not having a draft pick last year was worse than I thought.

Wow. Great move by Charlotte. AND they keep their pick. Batum was my prediction for our draft night trade.
Crap. Batum might be unrestricted after this season tho so...yeah...take that Charlotte.

I'll go ahead and state what everyone is probably thinking: thanks again Dumars, Batum couldve been coming here if he didnt trade away our first round pick that ended up being Vonleh. Oh well

Yeah. He's unrestricted after this season. Don't like this move as much. Still solid tho.

Re: Around the League
Yeah LMA is gone, like Moose level gone.
This Charlotte move seems to win now mode for me to like. Plus they still have to solve their issue of Al Jefferson being a blackhole and a defensive liability. That and Kemba not passing as much as he should and plateauing. I'm sure someone in the FO sort of wanted Big Al to not pick up his option.

There's gotta be someone who'd take Jennings if only for the cap relief...
