Yeah, Clifford is so bad that a lineup of :

Kemba
Batum
MKG
Hawes/Zeller
Jefferson

can very well still look terrible on offense. And maybe on defense. At least Hendo's low iq is gone.

Batum was supertrash last year. Looked worse than Hendo in any year except his rookie year I guess. I don't understand why we go giving away starting spots to players all willy nilly before training camp that ain't star players.

Lol who else is going to start at the 2? Jeremy freaking Lamb? Batum had a bad year due to a wrist injury, but hes still far superior to any SG we have on our current roster.

We should let training camp and preseason decide that like normal teams do.

There is nothing to decide. Do you think our GM, owner, anyone is going to trade away last years 9th pick and Henderson to let Batum come off the bench and back up Jeremy Lamb and MKG?

Nah, thats not the way things work. And even if they did let players just battle it out, unless Lamb actually works his ass off in the off season, which according to reports he has a bad work ethic, he wouldn't have a shot in hell anyway. He may not even play over Hairston, let alone start.

It's called depth. Good depth goes a long way. Just like how Iggy came off the bench in GSW.

Batum is the best perimeter shooter we've had on the roster since Richardson, and he's a better all around player than he was. It's blatantly obvious that he and MKG would be the starters, Cho was definitely pointing that out with his comment. Lamb, if the dumb ass Bonnell didn't jump the gun, will definitely get his fair share of minutes if he puts the effort in.

I just... hate this franchise... I seriously hope we trade Kemba and MKG tomorrow so I can follow another team.

I even like Batum, but this is so short sighted and pointless. Just like the Hawes trade. It is very clear that our coach, gm, and owner, are all delusional and think we need to be going all in on the Al Jefferson window. Jordan is one of the worst owners ever.

I can't wait to be pissed off about our draft selection tomorrow... I never should have let our brain trust trick me into having any faith in this joke organization. They were just itching for an opportunity to ruin the rebuild and go back to the treadmill. This is almost as annoying as us throwing away a top 10 pick in a stacked draft just to let Al Jefferson get some new clips for his youtube highlight video.

I think we could see some really interesting aggressive defensive lineups featuring Batum, MKG, Marvin and Zeller with all being able to switch as needed. Its not quite the same as Klay, Iggy, Barnes and Green, but similar idea.

When we get a Steve Kerr (or a guy who won't play Maxiel ahead of Biyombo) then I'll agree

Nothing against you, but I hate post like that. Maybe its just me staying loyal to a team.

The guy who shot 32% on 3s last year, huh.

Or the guy who has been on average a 37% shooter on over 5 attempts a game over the past 4 years. A hurt wrist will hurt your shooting

Its not about the Al Jefferson window. Its about the 2017 All-Star window. MJ is going all in to have a competitive team leading up to the game. Consider this the price we pay to have the All-Star game in Charlotte. It means having a 6-8 seed treadmill playoff team for a couple of years.

His wrist is fine now. Just needed rest.

Iggy is the biggest talent example, but if you go by money instead there is also Lee off the bench. And then of course they benched Bogut in the finals after he had been a starter all year and important in some earlier playoff series. You can operate that way if your players will buy in.
