The Celtics and Suns have been the most ardent suitors of the No. 9 pick, a source said, eagerly courting the Hornets.

The Suns have the No. 13 pick but would like to move up to draft Frank Kaminsky and are afraid that either Miami at No. 10 or Indiana at No. 11 will choose him. The Celtics have interest in Willie Cauley-Stein.

In ten hours or so. That's midnight here so probably around 7 eastern?

Oh I was beaten to it :P

This time thing sucks man.

I stayed up for it last year but was suffering at work, didn't go to bed til like 3am and was effed the next day haha

Will be a million updates on my phone from Game Time and Bleacher Report anyway...

I'm going to NZ vs Great Britain next month, you going?

I think I'm only going to stay up for the first round. And I don't start work until 2 tomorrow, so I'll hopefully have enough sleep.

I didn't even know GB were playing? Is it the Euroleague again?

Those who are worried about drafting Kaminsky at 13, will be downright distraught if we actually trade up to get him.

As I reported yesterday Willie Cauley-Stein's ankle scaring some teams away. Dropping. Could be a steal in the mid-to-late teens.

https://mobile.twitter.com/Probballdraft/status/614071520416149504

This guy needs to be ours. With our medical staff he would be healthy in less than six months.
Look at Sullinger and Noel. They dropped by medical issues and they have been great, at least until now. I see a big oportunity here...
Stanimal or Cauley-Stein, the one who drops.

Kaminsky would give the Suns an immediate rotation player whose shot creates space for Eric Bledsoe, whom the Suns have not shopped in trades, and Brandon Knight, whom they plan to re-sign next month.

http://www.azcentral.com/story/sports/nba/suns/2015/06/25/phoenix-suns-high-myles-turner-frank-kaminsky-draft-options/29253539/

End of the story.

 to all the Bledsoe and Kaminsky haters.

All of this losing has made the Realgm posters here blind, dumb, and crazy. Glad the FO doesn't drink what you guys do. Don't have to worry about Kaminsky though, some other team will get him and later we can bitch and moan about how we should have lost more games and drafted him....guaranteed to happen.

Tell you what mate. I've never attacked you for your opinion on Kaminsky. If you are so great at player evaluation maybe you should go and apply for a front office job or something. I've stated my points and my reasons clearly why I believe Kaminsky is going to struggle at the NBA level, but that is my personal opinion only, and I dont expect anyone to take it as fact.

You however are treating your own personal opinion like fact, and patronising everyone that doesnt agree with it. You even started a thread on the GB about how already plan to gloat when Kaminsky turns out great. (again, from your opinion only)

You are entitled to your opinion, however let me say this. If Kaminsky really does turn out to be a very mediocre player in the league, or bust, alot of us doing the gloating around here, and it certainly wont be you.

I want that #18 pick. A ton of good prospects on that range. Looney, Harrell or Hollis-Jefferson can be there.

Another thing on this Kaminsky talk - is he not just a tiny bit/A LOT like Kelly Olynyk? Who is a handy player, sure, but is he a legit starting PF or C in the East, let alone the West? I just don't see it.

I'd rather go for a guy with bigger upside like Myles Turner or Cameron Payne.

Check out Olynyk in College:

And Kaminsky:

Damn similar stats and skillset - and KO played less than 27min a night for Gonzaga!

I see your point, but the big difference is the three point shot. Kaminsky is a deadly shooter, Olynyk is like Markieff in that regard...he can make some threes, but he is not a big threat behind the line.

Was watching some Kaminsky yesterday. He has an impressive stroke for sure, but one thing that worries me is his release point - which is quite low and actually quite slow, something that may affect him at the NBA level where Defences read and react much quicker.

If he can adjust his shot a little bit, and get a quicker and higher release, he could cause NBA defences some trouble.

Yes because his potential is higher than Snoop Dogg and Willie Nelson

Would you rather have RHJ or Porzingis?

If we were drafting at 13 and Porzingis and Rondae are there, I'd pick Rondae. I know he'll guard 3 positions (Maybe 4), get some great highlight dunks in transition and work on the offensive boards. If he gets a jumpshot, that's gravy. Porzingis might become a good rim protector, might become a great shooter, might become a good post player, might become a Pterodactyl who can dunk from the 3 point line and battle The Brow for the next 10 years in the conference finals. Or he'll be Channing Frye. I'd draft Porzingis at 15-20.

Ok. You irrationally hate Porzingis. No amount of reason will change your mind. Got it. This post proves the discussion is pointless.

Defensively. ...yes. But on offense he is limited to put backs, alley oops and garbage points, so I don't think so.
He can play some minutes here and there like a PF, but I think he is better suited as C.

Is he strong enough to play the C though? It seems his defensive prowess more from his quickness, agility and athleticism - those are better suited for defending the PF spot and switching on pick 'n rolls. His midrange shot seems decent, if with the help of Hornacek he could become consistent I think he might be better suited playing mainly the PF spot.

If we do try dealing for the #9, what else do you guys this it would take?
13 & Tucker or maybe 13 and Marcus maybe? Assuming they still want shooting.

WCS reminds me of a shot-blocking Tristan Thompson. Not bad for the 9th/13th pick?
