Re: The 2015 Draft Thread (Free-For-All)
The problem with playing WCS and Len together is that you get very limited on offense. Defensively you can be very beastly but I feel as iffy about having two centers on the floor together as I felt about having two PG's together.

If he is the pick.. it means McD has enough data to think he is worthy of pick 13.
So be it.
I guess it's not anything personal for my dislike for taking Booker at 13--I'm just stuck on wanting a 'big' is all. With Booker, we will have what, 6 guys that can play SG? Bledsoe, Bullock, Knight, Goodwin, Bogdanovic, and Bullock. If they grab Booker, they need to clear some space is all. I like Booker as a prospect--he's young, intelligent, and a good shooter, and has good size, but who's our starting PF if Kieff goes to jail? Anyone???

True that.
I don't think there is anyway that Love or Aldridge sign with the Suns. I would hope that if there was an opportunity to take advantage of a salary dump and acquire another 1st rounder in a deep draft, that the Suns would be all over it.
Give me Booker and Harell, or even WCS and Harrell or Booker and Looney and I'm good.

As I mentioned in the other thread, I'm sure we will take WCS since that is the one guy I don't really want, so I'm trying to warm up to him now....a nice backup defensive C who is good insurance for a Len injury.
Actually he would be a good guy to have, but I'd really like to find that future starting 4.
Len or WCS can't be a four?
Not at this point. Defensively WCS can play the 4, but he can't really hit much more than a 4-6 ft shot. I posted his shot chart the other day.
If they both develop range it could work, since WCS can guard 4s...it would be really good defensively, but offensively it would probably be bad. But with Kieff playing 35 minute, maybe they could play together in brief minutes.

Len can shoot.

But the free agency + trade period BETTER make up for it.
I've been disappointed in the Suns draft.....for the last 10 years. I wasn't excited when we got len but he is probably the best pick we have had in a longtime.
This year is a prime opportunity to shake things up and make a splash (through a trade/s) but no we will stay put. I love how ainge takes chances, I wish ryan mcd would do the same.
Basically we never go all in which is why we are stuck at 12-14 pick for the last 5-6 years. I'm tired of "playing it safe."

I wouldn't mind Booker at all. Matter of fact, he's probably my most favorite realistic prospect for where we're drafting.

Len can shoot.
Using a very loose definition of shoot. Is he good from the perimeter for a center...sure, can he knock down shots like a guy like Love can, not really. Maybe he'll develop further in that regard but I'm still unsure about the idea although (if healthy) WCS's mobility is certainly a game-changer on defense.

Not sure what it would take to trade up for him but behind Russell, he's my favorite prospect for the Suns.
Thats also my guys, Russell or Winslow. Trade up to pick one of them two.
However, I`d be fine with any of Porzingis/Turner/Kaminsky.

We grab Harrell at 18 :)

Not really a fan of Kaminsky due to possible limitations on defense but I would fap for days if the Suns somehow ended up with either Russell or Winslow.
Its incredible how the Lakers suck for a year and end up with a premier player in a stellar draft. The one year that the Suns really sucked, they ended up with Len(not bashing Len he'll likely be a pretty good NBA center) in a fairly weak draft.

Not a fan of Simmons. When he started ranting on Twitter about how everyone is just horrible, that was enough for me.

I feel the same, although I expect things to go by the numbers and for the eventual pick to be Lyles or Turner which I would be kind of "meh" about.
