Chad Ford:

Why they take him: Cauley-Stein at 13 is a steal. He could go as high as 4 to the Knicks or 6 to the Kings. If he's here, you take him and have a terrific young front line of Alex Len and Cauley-Stein.

As I mentioned in the other thread, I'm sure we will take WCS since that is the one guy I don't really want, so I'm trying to warm up to him now....a nice backup defensive C who is good insurance for a Len injury.

Actually he would be a good guy to have, but I'd really like to find that future starting 4.

I'd be so happy if WCS falls to us.

I feel the same, although I expect things to go by the numbers and for the eventual pick to be Lyles or Turner which I would be kind of "meh" about.

Yeah, every year I end up feeling meh about the draft... Staying put isn't too sexy.

Thats also my guys, Russell or Winslow. Trade up to pick one of them two.

However, I`d be fine with any of Porzingis/Turner/Kaminsky.

Not really a fan of Kaminsky due to possible limitations on defense but I would fap for days if the Suns somehow ended up with either Russell or Winslow.

Its incredible how the Lakers suck for a year and end up with a premier player in a stellar draft. The one year that the Suns really sucked, they ended up with Len(not bashing Len he'll likely be a pretty good NBA center) in a fairly weak draft.

KAT/Okafor both can potentially be franchise cornerstones who happen to play the same position as Len. KAT is the closest thing to Anthony Davis and another generational talent. Class of 2013 pales in comparison. Len's ceiling is becoming a balanced center as a near elite rim protector with shooting range. One of the better players at his position but not in the league

Jmac thought you wanted Kaminsky? You aren't opposed to drafting Cauley-Stein?

What Kaminsky is on offense, WCS is on Defense.

I fricking love Kaminsky, but he isn't going to be there, because the NBA execs are smart like me. :)

Edit: If not him WCS, Lyles, Turner, and then Booker and Portis...

I'm more worried that they are going to slap on a couple of band-aids and try to drag this team into playoffs because of pressure coming from Sarver. Just getting into the playoffs without any actual chance of competing for a title doesn't have much appeal to me.

Draft night is here!!

I didn't want Len, I didn't want Ennis, I was so-so about Warren and Goodwin. ....I think I would like whoever McDonough selects today. He knows his thing.
