On ESPN, they're describing him like they described Vesely.

Russell to the Lakers wasn't a surprise, was reported everywhere this morning and late yesterday that the Lakers viewed Russell as a player with more pop for the showtime Lakers marketing angle, and also the guy with the better chance at becoming a superstar when compared to Okafor, he also dazzled in two workouts, while Okafor was apparently middling in his second workout for the team.

Love Porzingis to the Knicks, just for the reaction, hilarious. Wonder if it plays out like Philly booing the McNabb pick 17 years ago. I think Hezonja is the best Euro in this draft, but I expect both of them to be outstanding players.

Porzingis has a sweet jumper, and can hit anything out to the 3, issues are just post play, defense, and slow feet on defensive end. Vesely could run and jump, grab some steals, and foul out at a Hulk Smash Rate and nothing else.

Seems like a good kid. Already knows that Euros are described as soft. So was he in some scout's analysis. I don't know if he'll be great but it's probably worth the risk.

Did the Knicks really have a choice?

Porzingis has a tremendous amount of skill for a big, gaining strength is probably going to be his biggest challenge.

Disagree completely with Jalen's stupid, moronic "Knicks have suffered enough" take. Knicks have been a dumpster fire of their own making due to 10,000 short cuts and quick fixes after Ewing retired.

If the Knicks are interested in being great it will take time, they spent nearly 20 years flushing that franchise down the toilet. It can't be fixed in just one offseason, and taking a guy like Porzingis could be exactly what they need, and they won't be good for 2-3 years anyway so who cares if he takes time to develop. Only issue I have is Mudiay seems like a safer bet, and with just as big of upside if not moreso. I would have taken Mudiay.

Not seeing the slow feet really. Looks pretty smooth for a 7 footer to me.

Could be Nowitzski or Shawn Bradley.

Fraschilla just called Hezonja and Porzingis the best shooters in the draft. Huh?

Surprised that their havent been any deals yet. Maybe they get announced a bit later though. I could see the Knicks trading Porzingis rights so they could get Kaminsky, the Sixers seem to be taking the best guy on the board repeatedly to try and swing trades.

Word has been that they liked Mudiay, Kaminsky, Porzingis and Lyles. Wouldn't be surprised if they shop Porzingis for assets and Kaminsky or Lyles.

Mudiay at this point represents a tremendous steal. Could have gone #2 or #3.
