He was 36% from deep and 75% from the freethrow line. Can we stop comparing him to Dirk he probably can't outshoot KAT.

porzingis is 7'3. He can play alongside David West for sure. West can play the low post guy.

I'm glad u not declaring him a bust like a lot of people on here are.

If he was black, a lot more people would be ok with the pick. I'm just being honest.

i really don't think that's it. it's that he's built like manute bol.

yeah, he does need to eat

The Miami Heat won the draft. Winslow will turn into a star in that organization.

I'll give Phil this. He doesn't give a fu*k. To take a guy like Porzingis at 4 in this city takes balls. Who the hell knows if it works out, but at least he went for the home run pick rather than playing it safe. Still though, I think we end up regretting passing on Mudiay.

He ain't gonna play with Wade yet. He has to resign first.

Take the time to develop Porzingis and he might not be a future Dirk or Ewing but if he can put up 15/8 ill be happy vs the same production that Monroe would put out!

15/8?

yes 15/8 for a guy learning the system, Remember no one wanted Marc Gasol and thought he was a bust or how about Aldridge first couple of years before he finally broke out....

Couple years from Phil sitting back in his beach chair and the triangle going out the window.Draft the bpa , rule number 1

But I guess I'll have to wait and give Kristaps a fair chance, he's big at least...looks soft as hell, weighs about as much as a SG...but wtf can you do?

My intrigue comes from actually thinking he's similar to Durant. No green font at all.

No way.

Everyone saw Durant tear it up at Texas. Elite scoring is something that we knew he was going to bring. It was whether the rest of his game would pan out.

Porzingis is good offensively but there's still a big question about how he'll handle the speed of the NBA as well as whether he can even become an adequate defender.

I can see why Mudiay fell. Guards who can't shoot from the field and are bad free throw shooters have a hard time having a big impact.

But Porzingis is definitely a high boom/high bust player. The big man coach will be critical to his development. You gotta think that Ewing would try to show him some stuff on the defensive end but since Ewing's not with the Knicks anymore who knows.

I'm going to need a big free agent to feel better about this pick.

Lol at the people saying the Heat win by getting Winslow. Congrats Miami on getting a solid role player that will be just that! Not the next Wade, not the second coming of Lebron, but a guy that has a worse shot that Mudiay and can only play defense.

If Porz was a thicker and more physical then I'd love the pick or if we played that open Western Conference style okay but its bully ball in the East

I'll wait until the summer league to assess what this kid can or can't become. Right now.. I don't like it.

Throw max money at Dragic if you want to get the most out of the guy you just drafted. Don't be a dummy, Phil.
