More like it shows who was right all year long.

Yeah we all know you think so. Every single one of your posts says the same thing.

Well, when you have so many tools arguing otherwise all year, proclaiming themselves basketball geniuses, it's easy to gloat about what anyone with half a brain could have foreseen. Deal with it.

Not gonna let this one go anytime soon. Frank Kaminsky. Come on.

Maybe Kaminsky will be good, you never know.. But that's hands down the dumbest organization in the league. Not chaotic like Sacramento or inept, just dumb..

I can't help but laugh. There have been 0 trades. How is it Danny's fault that no one wants to trade? If teams were actually willing to trade someone would have moved up...but alas here we are.

If we end up with Tyus Jones after all of these rumors i'm legitimately going to cry

I feel bad for Stevens. Could have been patient and gotten the OKC job haha.

The strategy not to tank was stupid and you can't expect to fleece GMs. The league has widened up.

Instead ppl like humble will be talking about Smart getting experience when Ainge was willing to flip him for Okafor.

Why not frigging tank then.

We had a chance and we blew it and when this savant coach can't savant his way past the first round the same ppl will be bawling away.

Lesson learnt. You use the system instead of arguing it's morality.

Frame this.

I say we let the adults drive the car next time.

Maybe the pollyanna homer crew can get sequestered into their own thread this year and stop derailing all our threads with naive, unrealistic nonsense.

I second this notion.

Please. If we tank we have not shot at an established player and no one wants to play for us.

We will be better than the 76ers next year, and the next year and the next year.

If Hinkie turns that roster into a playoff team that is fun to watch, I will say I am wrong.

But, their roster is still terrible.

IM anti tank, pro Ainge yesterday, pro Ainge now, pro Ainge tomorrow. The Draft is not over, the summer is not over. Yet tons of people are declaring some sort of dystopian victory. Jesus. The knee jerk reactions over everything today has been something to behold. A real rollercoaster. let it play out. No one picked yet has proven anything and our offseason has just started.

Just be glad we aren't the Knicks. They tanked the entire season only to select a skinny Euro who is two years away from being NBA ready.

I'm sure Melo is happy about playing with D-leaguers next year.

I don't want to see my PF rocking a bowtie. Only 1-3s, imo.

Gotta agree with canman. I would want Winslow, but Miami is going to struggle anyway. The guy I would have liked is Okafor.

As far as assets. The problem with all these assets is people don't like to make trades when the guy could pay more. It's like, well, "you can afford it" syndrome.

Other GMs know we can offer more, so our price is higher. The fact the Hornets went and got Kaminsky, ridiculous. They could have traded down and got him or could have got KO and No. 16 for Kaminsky.

That's not how it works generally in a rational negotiation. If you value the assets being offered more than your own, even if the other person can offer more, you'd still accept the offer if it's firmly better in your mind. What does this tell us?

a) Danny didn't value Winslow enough to offer enough to get him
or
b) we didn't have the assets to move up

I hope everyone is content with being the "gritty, undermanned, overachieving" team that gets our asses handed to us every time in the Playoffs by teams with stars for the next decade (at least). You do not win **** in this league without stars. And we're literally never getting one via free agency. Our mid 1st rounders aren't landing us one via trade.

I might not even watch the next few Drafts at this point.

They will get a decent role player where they are. I mean rondo, sully and olynk, and Avery Bradley were all picked around 16

Return to Boston Celtics
