Even with Monroe and West, we aren't winning more than 35 games and we probably are going to over pay them both

Rule #1 in the draft...TRUST YOUR EVALS.

Do not lean on history.

Do not lean on what other teams think.

Trust your scouts and believe in the plan.

I think the fact that PJ took him says a whole heap about the young man.

Going on history very very few international players pan out and porz got so many holes in his game

If we didn't have Melo and had our draft picks the next few years it's a good pick, but we are in compete now mode with no future draft picks

I see porz as an above avg role player at best, we need stars

doesn't make sense unless he was expecting 2 of the 3 to be there for us

Let's Go Phil....

All that brand stuff he was talking about don't mean **** to teams. He just screams Shump, talking like he's big ****. He probably be a better player than Shump, but both have that mindset of overrating themselves like they are all stars.

I had Winslow and Johnson at about the same level. Johnson is a bit bigger and stronger...and talks less. Also believe Johnson had better interviews.

Yeah early I had Johnson above Winslow but later it was neck and neck I just thought Winslow's decision making at the end of games was a little suspect.

So, what happened to the whole "if half of the rumors are true, this will be the craziest draft night ever" thing?

I don't know why anyone would be upset about this pick. He was projected to go into the top 5 for a while now, so this doesn't seem shocking at all. As many have mentioned, he probably has the highest upside of any player in this draft.

I watched a bunch of videos on him. I don't remember the last time I saw someone as mobile as he is for his size. And based off the limited footage, he can score in a variety of ways including running off of screens, pick and pops, turnarounds, etc.

If his work ethic is as good as advertised, he could end up being a monster down the road. He's a Knick now, so I'll be rooting for him from this point forward.

For the first time in a LONG time we have all our picks with the exception of next years...

I won't be shocked at all if one of the players selected in the middle of this draft pan out to be better than a lot of the guys in the lottery.

If the Knicks acquire another pick, it's not gonna be for a while, unless someone just wants to dump a pick for cap purposes. No assets to get up anywhere near this high...

Because given the Anthony-Isiah-Dolan factor, Phil may not have 3 years to turn this team around.

Return to New York Knicks
