Well, we got to make trades. If we can't, that's on danny. I think we will be fine. I would stand pat.

Fair enough. At least you're being respectively, unlike other posters who are insulting fellow posters for daring to have a different opinion than theirs.

I'm serious about trading out of 16.

Get a future 1st and gamble that it's better than the 16th overall

You guys who are jumping off the cliffs are prematurely acting. Just like Danny had to wait to see if Okafor fell, or if Winslow fell, the other teams will wait to see who is available at 16 if they were to trade with the celtics for the pick.....Not saying anything going to happen but stop thinking from one side of the spectrum.

Yeah, all these assets, but like any smart GM he didn't put the best ones out there.

Smart
BRK picks
Dallas pick
Mem pick

I'm sure he would have moved some of those to get a sure fire stud like Okafor, but those picks clearly weren't seriously going to be traded. But he wasn't going to trade those very good assets for 9, because he's a smart GM dealing with idiots like Charlotte.

So Danny is a genius in a league full of idiots. 50% kidding.

Nope, but most of the teams picking in the lottery are run by idiots

The thing is people are looking for hope tonight and it's was not there. IE the Celtics trade their picks and land DMC and all of a sudden there is a better chance that LMA or Love.

Now what we are left with is a team that has NEVER signed a stud FA the daunting task of trying to convince players like Love and LMA to come to a team where its best players is a 5'9 sixth man.

That is what people are upset. Celtics strike out on FA we are stuck with another season of winning 35-40 and a first round exit.

This hurts so much. I really really wanted Winslow at #9. Dammit.

I don't get how people talk about "pessimism " when this **** happens literally EVERY time. Like, how are you now seeing the trend? All that Love speculation last year (with half the board acting like it was a done deal), nothing happened. All the Cousins speculation, and he's about to go to our biggest rival (if he's traded at all). All the speculation about moving up into the top 10, maybe even top 5.....NOTHING.F*CKING.HAPPENED.

Since the KG trade, literally EVERY time. There is no outlier. Whenever there's been speculation about something big happening, it doesn't **** happen. I'm sorry that I'm not gonna continue to pretend that everything is all good and it will all work out, when we've seen nothing over the last 5-6 to give us hope that a big trade will actually go through for us.

The only possible way I could get any glimmer of optimism out of this night (outside of huge trade announcement) is if the Celts get Upshaw at 28. Can't believe they blew the opportunity to land Winslow through trade with Cha. I had him 4th on my big board.
