Because given the Anthony-Isiah-Dolan factor, Phil may not have 3 years to turn this team around.

Well I don't know what your definition of "turn this team around" is, but if it's to make the playoffs, they can meet that expectation as early as next year if they end up doing well during the FA period.

But if you mean going to the finals or winning a championship? I doubt we'll be able to accomplish that in such a short period of time, even if we ended up picking Towns.

This is why we are the laughing stock of the nba

Even with Monroe and West, we aren't winning more than 35 games and we probably are going to over pay them both

Rule #1 in the draft...TRUST YOUR EVALS.

Do not lean on history.

Do not lean on what other teams think.

Trust your scouts and believe in the plan.

I think the fact that PJ took him says a whole heap about the young man.

Going on history very very few international players pan out and porz got so many holes in his game

If we didn't have Melo and had our draft picks the next few years it's a good pick, but we are in compete now mode with no future draft picks

I see porz as an above avg role player at best, we need stars

Can't get stars with no bench, incompetent front office, a mortgaged off future and past for a sulking Star Player in his 30's!

And who after the top 3 were taken didn't have holes? Mudiay can't shoot. Winslow has no position. WCS has a loose screw in his foot. Kaminsky has no position. You want the other European? You're bashing the guy saying he has holes. but who is the perfect pick then?

"few international players pan out"... I'm pretty sure statistically domestic players probably bust more often, since only few international players a year get that level of focus.

Lets all rejoice and remember that our great savior Phil jackson dealt Tyson chandler for shane larkin, a 2nd round bust and a poor poor player on a poor contract

if he waited and was good, we would have been waiting for our next selection

I'd like to know how long Porzingis was on the Knicks radar, how much they knew about him before workouts.
