if he waited and was good, we would have been waiting for our next selection

Tyson Chandler had a terrible, injury-plagued season the year before. Had a huge contract that few teams were able to absorb at the time, and was going to be an expiring. How much value do people on this board thing Tyson really had?

we didnt just get a bad return, we got a negative return. 2 bad players and a bad contract.

if phil waited, we would have gotten atleast 2 firsts

According to what? The Cavs getting Mozgov? Who's young, had a good season, and on a team friendly contract with a team option. At the time Jose seemed like a good piece for the triangle, and Early was seen as a steal. Early is relatively young and Jose isn't the corpse everyone paints him as here.

I don't see Dolan being very involved in the draft. This was a good pick.

No, it appears he settled for a bowel movement instead.

he also said we needed skilled bigs. And from everything scouts suggest Porzingis can protect to rim.

Mudiay for all that he is good at ball handling, getting into the paint. He was never considered a lock down defender. He has potential but he wasn't considered a consistent defender from the scouting reports.

I liked Mudiay but I was happy with going with either guy. If this is the guy our scouts and phil wanted we got to trust that right now.
