Maybe Danny called around trying to trade up and discovered a ton of interest in Smart, and thinks other teams value him above what he's worth..

Wait, what the hell is going to Denver if WCS is staying in SAC? They've literally got nothing else to trade.

Maybe McLemore?

Yeah maybe.. Or Lawson has very little trade value..

Wyc actually mentioned having more than 4 picks tonight so watch out for that Bennett trade

The problem developing for Danny is that two pronged:

1. The treasure trove of assets is seeming less treasure trovey...

2. If you are KLove or LMA, the Cs are seeming less able to get things done even when they go hard after something. That doesn't make us seem like a good place to sign long term.

3. Thinking we'll get our FAs next off season is illogical because even though there will be more money to spend, there will be way more teams with that same money to spend competing with us for every FA.

Overall, this has been a very disheartening night for our immediate future.

Not shook at all. I think he's a great fit here and I've been a fan... I thought of him as a first round talent all year. Great athlete. Great defender. Great energy. Great fit next to any of the three guys the Celtics have in the backcourt.

Wow that Louisville team couldn't shoot last year. 311th in division one from three last year.

Rozier did hit .379 from deep his first year, then dropped with his increase in attempts this past year.

Imo, the Bulls got a better pick at 22 than we did at 16.. Portis at 22 is darn decent.

Here's the thing. Rozier hit 37% from 3 in his freshman year on 2.6 attempts per game. It's no foregone conclusion that he's a poor shooter. RJ Hunter his less than 30% last year and his reputation as a good outside shooter remains intact, supposedly.

Rozier/Martin at 16/28 would be a good draft. The disappointment of the big move will subside, and we're left with a couple of good players and all the remaining assets. Danny can play a long hand.

There's a lot of Debbie Downers here, but I think I've seen enough to cast my official vote now. You're the biggest pessimist on this forum.

I'm not shook at all. I believe in Terry Rozier and he's been a guy on my list all season. Love the athlete, love the defense, think he can complement either Bradley or Smart in the backcourt, long enough to play next to Thomas as well.

Some of us tried telling people all fn season that mid to late 1st rders are worthless "assets" and are basically equivalent to 3rd and 4th rd picks in the NFL draft but now that it's clearly been proven that 16 and 28 aren't even enough to move up to #9 than waht do all the homers say now???? You guys going to double down on all these so called "assets" that Danny has in in his back pocket?????? His only assets are the Brooklyn picks. Period. All these worthless in season trades he makes for mid to late 1st rders are simply to stroke his fn ego and get the fanboys to massage his balls some more. Fn guy is overrated as it gets.

I'm just surprised we couldn't move back. Why pick Rozier at #16? Weird. I know people aren't a fan of "quantity," but an extra pick is an extra pick.

If he can shoot or not doesn't matter to me. They already have Bradley, Smart and Thomas none of whom are pure PGs. There was no need to draft another one. This HAS to be followed up by a trade, or it is a massive failure.
