For as great as the Hardaway trade was, the success of this draft all hinges on how Porzingis turns out. Hell, it might define Phil's entire time in NY.

That's how you ruin a kid like him. Let him learn and get accustomed to the culture and bring him off the bench for 15 to 20 minutes a game.. if he's ahead of schedule play him 25 minutes a game.

Dirk started half of his games his rookie year and he was pretty scrubby.

KG only started half his games.

Lamarcus Aldridge started a third of his games.

Serge started NO games his rookie year.

It's not always just throw them to the wolves.
