We drafted a modern day slightly better Christian Laettner, which is not bad, but when Winslow is there you HAVE to take him

Not if the Choputer said that Kaminsky was BPA over Winslow. The Choputer has gotten us this far on the path of greatness with a few mishaps from Higgins before he got fired. The Choputer is smarter than us all. You read the tweet, Kaminsky was higher on the board than Winslow.

Screw Cho at this point. You got your boy Lamb though, so you're happy regardless. ;)

As Yosemite would tell me, none of you are smarter than Cho, he does this for a living, and if he felt that Kaminsky was BPA over Winslow then he's right because he know what you don't.

I understand the rage because I felt the same way when Cho passed on Noel for Zeller two years ago but y'all shoulda known Kaminsky was gonna be the pick regardless of anything after Stanley Johnson said F us and long before that. Everyone knew Kaminsky was ours since maybe February. Let's accept our fate. It's actually one of Cho's better picks over the past few years since MKG.

Wouldn't say "expected," more like "hoped."

Drafting Winslow in the first and Pat Connaughton in the 2nd and keeping Vonleh and Biz would have been so much easier, less expensive and more palatable than what actually happened. I'm astonished every yr how disdainful this team is of 2nd rd picks.

LOL.....I don't believe that for one second, it is a way of covering his *** because he knows questions were coming about drafting BPA. Multiple media reports already had reported how much MJ liked Frank. MJ got his guy, Cho avoiding questions about BPA by saying this garbage. If they really did have Frank ranked higher, then fire them all right now.

2015 NBA Draft Day Thread ***NO SPOILERS***

Post#840 » by yosemiteben » Fri Jul 3, 2015 4:03 am

Was thinking about the draft a bit...does anyone feel like there were any smokescreens that were revealed on draft night? Seems like a lot of the talk about team's preferences turned out to be very accurate. Teams being big on Mario and Porzingis, WCS to SAC, DET liking SJ, us liking Frank, OKC liking Payne, etc.

In hindsight, expected more picks that deviated from the script.
