I'm going to assume for now that the rest of the deal will be done in the coming days and he's off to play for Grunfield. Weird day.

It was a weird day. Kinda expecting something big to happen but really didn't.

Someone spotting some MCW potential trades on the whiteboard in the Bucks war room was interesting.

Was a let down considering I had high hopes of something big happening on draft night but I'm still not convinced both henson and MCW will be with us come opening night.

Ultimately there's still such a massive hole at centre and many questions at PG. Today answered neither of those questions.

Looks like MCW is just listed on the PG depth chart. Bayless is gone from the second listing so he's going to be traded, Middleton is listed on the SG board then OJ below him with a line to #17 with a circle around it. So I guess that's Vaughn taking his spot in the team. I've earned my detective/reporter smilie IMO. :reporter:

Unless the MCW trade scenario is on the back whiteboard, I can't read that far away.

Are you talking about the event at the Bradley Center? Technically it wasn't a draft party. It was an open house for people interested in buying a ticket package. They just happen to have the draft on in the background. People attending weren't going with the expectation of watching the entire draft.

Houston is an interesting spot for Dekker. On one hand he's learning under some amazing talent. Being surrounded by guys like Howard and Harden should motivate him to put in the work to become great. On the other hand...he's surrounded by guys like Howard and Harden....Dekker is more of a team-player than both these guys combined. Oh, and Bo Ryan > McHale (in terms of coaching)

It'll be interesting to see how he develops on the NBA level. Great to see ARod always supporting the Wisconsin guys.

One of the problems with going to Houston (and Philly) is that you're never sure if the team actually intends to keep you, or if you're just a chip in a bigger move to come. I suspect Dekker's team is feeling less settled about his new home than most other first rounders.

Yeah Josh Smith, TJones, Ariza, Brewer, could be not a lot of playing time for Dekker in Houston

I will be just about anything that Dekker, PaPa, Ariza, Jones and maybe Capela or DMo are on their way to Portland for Aldridge.
