All it takes is one big move to turn an organization around. Unfortunately I do not have confidence the Suns front office can pull it off. I hope I am wrong.

God I miss the days when phoenix was the destination of choice. I didn't realize how good we had it in the 90s.
If we can build a winner, players will want to come. Really it's that simple.
Look at the cardinals, have been known as the armpit of the NFL forever and no player wanted to come to az. Now, total different story. Players (like Adrian Peterson) have them tops on their list.
I thought the Cardinals were a baseball team????

And hence the reason why tanking for draft picks is bad. I want to see our 2015/2016 Suns make the playoffs ... even as an eighth seed.. A winning culture is needed to attract free agents. It's much easier to convince a star free agent to come to your city as the missing piece. Also, players with playoff experience are much better trade chips.

Re: Offseason Trade and Free Agency Discussion
Suns need to do everything to land one of Love or Cousins.
As I've mentioned, they will sell the Suns to another FA star.
So far all FA stars shun the Suns because the Suns do not have marquee players.... Only a bunch of good role players and young players.
Max out Love... Sell the suns to him as team that will surround him with stars.
Or
Trade for Cousins...
Heck even Gay will put up all star numbers on the Suns. He is on a really nice contract of 12 million a year.

Re: Offseason Trade and Free Agency Discussion
So an obvious need is three point shooters. The NBA has changed and excellent three point shooting is a requirement to make the playoffs. The top ten 3 point shooting teams made the playoffs. Here's the current career numbers for our team
Granger .380
Leuer .367
Knight .365
Marcus .363
Tucker .357
Len .333
Kief .328
Bledsoe .325
Bullock .311
Warren .238
Goodwin .221
Wright .000
Bledsoe really needs to improve his shooting or needs to be traded. There were 33 point guards in the league who shot better than him last year.

Green could actually be a real possibility, given how San Antonio needs to clear salary in order to sign LMA

+1. Can't succeed in today's NBA without having at LEAST two shooters on the floor at all times.
Blesdoe/Knight/Tucker/Kieff/Len is not a starting lineup that is going to work unless Knight is willing to play more off the ball(on kickouts) and Tucker can add three point range beyond the corners.
If the goal for this year is "let's make the 8th seed because...well, because!", then I firmly believe we need to change the rotation. Either play Granger more(if he can still move), or(and you guys are going to hate this one) swap out Markieff with Marcus. Marcus would provide a hell of a lot more spacing for Bledsoe/Knight than Kieff currently does, and it would allow Kieff to go back to being a super-sub.
Don't count on Booker. "NBA-Ready" rookies rarely make a difference, so let's not start looking to our 18 year old draftee as the solution for our problems. As far as I'm concerned, dude is a noncontributor until the end of his rookie contract, at the very least.

LMA, Love, Millsap in that order for me. If we don't get any of those guys then I'm cool with preserving our cap space until '16 when we could have enough room to likely offer two max deals. I'm not saying we have a shot at Durant or anything but there could be some guys that just sign a deal for one year this year and then become a FA next year too.
Not listing the RFAs.
Noah, Conley, Horford, Batum, Whiteside, JJ, Kobe, Ryno (Anderson), Big Al, Stephenson, Crawford, Jennings, Nene, Gallo.

If that's the starting lineup to start the season then our F.O. needs to be taken out back and flogged. We watched that post trade deadline last year and it was u-g-l-y. I'd be much happier with Blade-Knight-Warren-Millsap-Len.

The 1-2 3pt shooters on the floor isn't a new concept either. Rockets with Hakeem did it... Robinson and the spurs had it. Suns Ainge and Majerle in the KJ/Barkley era.. It's not a new concept.

I don't think Milsap would leave a winning situation in Atlanta for us.

I had a quick look in 2016 FA list when I was proposing to trade for Cousins in hopes of looking for another star to pair with but outside of Durant... It's a sad list or not likely to leave their teams either.

Actually I'm very interested to see how things work out with Granger. He is 32 and I hope we have another Grant Hill situation on our hands. He's just the type of veteran we need to help bring these young guys along.
Knight PG
Tucker SG
Granger SF
Marcus PF
Leuer C
Would be a very good three point shooting lineup that could be run as our bench.
Bledsoe
Knight
Warren
Kief
Len
As the starters ... not so much

Re: Offseason Trade and Free Agency Discussion
Morris twins and Tucker will likely be shopped. Morris twins especially after the assault charge situation is clarfied.
For whom... Is the issue. I just want someone who can help Len defensively or someone who can literally pull defenders outside to the 3pt line who also rebounds.

But then that raises another problem...to get Milsap to come here, we have to overpay him. Are we really at the point where we can overpay a Tier 2 guy like Paul Milsap? Don't you run the risk of tying up too much money in a team that's good enough to make the playoffs, but not good enough to get past the first round?

Re: Offseason Trade and Free Agency Discussion
Gallinari, Mirotic, Cousins
Give Nuggets Cavs 2016 pick +
Give bulls Morris twins + Tucker +
Sign Danny Green
Cousins / Mirotic / Galinari / Green /Knight
Would give Warriors a run for their money offensively and 3pt shots made.
