I agree.

So why is Feldman even bringing this up today?

Does anyone really care right now?

Seems agenda like to me, smells.

The information presented on the podcast was old news and was already reported over the months and years by those with inside sources (Amick, Aliene, Wojo).

Bloggers do not have inside sources and never break any real news.

Bloggers just regurgitate what has already been said.

Notice the timing of the podcast's theme. Once the news hit that Pete could be going to St. John's that's when the door opened.

Outside of a few hundred die-hard Kings fans on social media, no one really cares about the inner workings of the Kings.

The podcast was a desperate attempt to try to be relevant. Guess what? The glorified blogger is still irrelevant.

Well I've got my eyes on him being used as a tool possibly, but I'd much rather hear a blogger trying to be relevant than a puppet being tossed a bone.

Hopefully that's all it is.

Sounds reasonable they way you described it.

Once again a blogger did not break the news on Carl Landry's surgery as the blogger had to use a press release instead.

Notice yesterday's News10 story on using the Kings logo for their NBA Finals banner got way more heat and coverage than a blogger's podcast on regurgitated news.

What I have learned through the several years of being heavily involved with the Kings arena and relocation saga is that the real media controls the narrative while bloggers simply do not exist to the majority of people. Nothing has changed that to this day.

Malone getting a second interview. Again I'll say it, happy for him if he lands this but from the outside looking in looks like not an envious job. Rebuilding team that might look to start from scratch

if you're into conspiracy theories the timing of this is a way to explain how Malone is qualified for this job in Denver in a place where those remaining there can say "ah yeah...you did get screwed" in Sac.

Oh I'm a "non coincidence" theorist.

Of all teams it is Denver too. I just wish the best for Malone.

From this article it supports my theory that PDA/Mullin were pushing for Mullin at the end of the year and were made to hire Karl by Vivek

http://www.sacbee.com/sports/nba/sacramento-kings/kings-blog/article23669575.html

The Kings were 11-13 when Malone was fired, but 2-7 without All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins, who was out with viral meningitis. After the team played uninspired for interim coach Tyrone Corbin, Ranadive insisted D’Alessandro hire George Karl.

That became the source of more problems because, according to multiple sources, D’Alessandro had told Cousins he didn’t want to hire Karl, who had been fired by Denver in 2013. But when Ranadive insisted on Karl being hired, reports surfaced that talks were stalled because Cousins and his agents did not want Karl as coach. The reports angered Cousins, who was a staunch supporter of Malone, who was fired against Cousins’ wishes

Hopefully we win some next season so the trolls stop pointing the finger at places where they shouldn't be.

There's a new Voisin article out that agrees with you. It also says that drafting Stauskas was Mullin's call and that Mike Bratz preferred Payton. I don't know about that part though.

This is all very confusing. Ranadive comes out too clean in this thread. Didn't Ranadive hire PDA? Didn't he admit firing Malone was a mistake? Doesn't he "insist" on the Kings getting certain players, i.e. he bullies or interferes too much? Did he like Malone? I mean Ranadive brought Malone from Golden State, so I would think he liked him. So far, the employees of Ranadive do not appear to stick around long whether players or FO.

Is Ranadive for keeping DMC, Gay and Collison? What is he going to do with George Karl now? In all of this, he has to realize SAC is a small town team although the metro area is large. SAC won't be able to get the best players and staff just because of money. I'm a GSW fan, but am no fan of Mullin in the FO (loved him as a player). He was the worst GM ever. Would like to see SAC do better than they are because of interest in the downtown area and business interests.

My 2¢ is this. Don't hire former people and players associated with a lousy team unless you worked with them, know them and are loyal. The players are really popular, so they can do pub and be analysts and announcers but keep them away from the team. Basically, they will bring the suck along as FO or team personnel because that's all they know.
