Good grief.

You'd take MKG at 2 over Drummond, Beal, or Lillard? The same guy who has not played a full season, can't hit a three in the NBA level, and has only improved in rebounding in three season?

Okay

I'd take him 3-4 easily.
The only guy that is clearly better is Lillard, and no one expected him to be that good predraft.

Just reading your post around here over the past year or so I can tell your just one of those guys who over thinks everything and complicates things to sound smart. You would take MKG over Drummond is just comical.

don'r draft a player who is both undersized and unathletic. and his shooting technique is ridiculous. he releases the ball under his chin.

im pretty sure Fischella was also the same guy that was saying Trey Burke was hands down, far and away the best player in his draft a couple of years ago. even go as far as mentioning Treys name in the same sentence as Chris Paul, while at the same time saying that Oladipos ceiling was Tony Allen 2.0

Reading this post, I'm not convinced that you really know what a chin is.

Pretty close at least, I would trade Johnson for MKG without hesitation.

He would be a horrible fit. And I like MKG.

His midrange game has really improved a lot, check the numbers. Johnson can't shoot either and will never become the defender MKG is.
People have got to stop making declarative statements, like they can see the future. It's one thing to dislike a player, it's another to say something, you can't possibly back up.

Agreed. MKG has taken maybe 5 three pointers his entire three seasons

He's a better player than Tobias Harris and everybody WANTS to give him the max or close to it.

Justise Winslow's NBA comparison according to Coach K is Dwyane Wade. That's a lofty comparison by a coach not known for hyperbole. I think what Coach K was saying is, he sees the same competitive fire and workhorse mentality that Wade has in Winslow - that of course bodes well for the kid as he makes his way to South Beach. Winslow will have an opportunity to learn in the house that Wade built within the rugged culture that Riley built while being taught by Coach Spo.

Those things point to a bright future for Winslow. I like Winslow...a lot and I look forward to seeing him develop in the league.

That being said, SVG made the choice I hoped for going back to the midpoint of the college season. Stanley Johnson is not only a bull in terms of strength, but a highly skilled ballhandler with the ability to change speeds, change direction, and turn the corner with either hand with equal precision. His defensive aggression and bully mentality brings just the type of edge that we've been missing to the Pistons.

Adding Johnson to our young nucleus that will grow under SVG makes for an exciting future for our franchise. While I cannot predict what the future will ultimately look like, I can say the moves thus far at least bring hope back to Motown.
