New HEAT roster

Post#22 » by Mugiwara » Sun Jun 28, 2015 4:05 am

Starting lineup is stacked, but we need to fill the roster accordingly.

Bench and depth are essential for an aged-lineup who wants to go deep in the playoffs.

Also, Spo needs to do a better job this season. Last year was ugly to see even with the injuries.

We are dealing with Spo, the guy who did nothing with Whiteside for weeks.

But has a whole summer, training camp, and preseason to train for a well-known player and not a question mark in the middle of the season like Whiteside.

Idk what game to get for PS4. I think I'm gonna hold off until Fallout 4. Sucks that I can't play FO3, New Vegas, or Skyrim because my 360 is shot and PS4 doesn't have backwards compatibility. :-?

Dunno if I want Arkham yet or MKX or any new game right now. I'm seriously zeroed in on Fallout 4. 20 weeks.

I really am enjoying NBA 2K15 it's what I play mostly. I really want Arkham Knight, waiting for people to trade it in. I have a strong feeling since there is no multiplayer it'll be traded in once people start beating it, huge surplus of trade ins = lower prices.

I also want Bloodborne, the new need for speed, and I also have wanted F04. That star wars game looks cool too.

So if Deng doesn't opt in, there's no way we get him back? No bird rights or anything else am I reading this right? Interestingly, Beas deadline for his team option is also the day for Deng's PO I think. Wonder how those play out. I thought Beas played not too shabby and for his $$$ potentially for next year, why the heck not? That's decent/good value for your 14th man

Let's not Walker

We're not going to offer him a multi year deal so if he opts out he's gone.

I'll repost mines here

Pat's gonna make some moves in FA i feel like someone who will return is Ray Allen if he decides for sure if he will play due to the relationship with Wade and UD, plus i felt like last season one of the reasons why he never picked a team is because he didn't want to leave Miami and be away from his family. Ray could've held out giving Pat a chance to build a contender so he can comeback and help the Heat become even a bigger threat. One of the moves Pat will most likely have to do is dump Rio and Bird to give Wade his mula and shut up to stay and fill out the roster. Pat loves Beas and with the cheap contract he has Miami should exercise it, Beas showed some flash of his ways of scoring and some improved defense even tho his Def was mediocre, but bringing Beas back for another season with a full training camp will be good. Dumping Bird for a younger and cheaper Big like Koufus would be amazing, a big who can rebound and is a better rim protector then Bird. Dunleavy would be a great vet signing he most likely would sign for the vet min and can help the Heat shooting struggles and a solid defender. I see Miami letting go Walker and TJ and sending Rook Josh Richardson to the DL. Hopefully this goes down like this and Miami would be a Top 3 team in the East for sure and if healthy as well. And bring on the ones who will call me an idiot and a flaw for sharing my idea/thoughts/wish lol.

PG: G.Dragic/Napier/Z.Dragic
SG: Wade/R.Allen/Ennis
SF: Deng/Winslow/Dunleavy
PF: Bosh/McBob/Beas
C: Whiteside/Koufus/UD

Pats keeping Beas.... He loves him first off second he's cheap and is a serviceable wing off the bench. Beas had a solid season in my opinion

Winslow, Josh and Trice (Trice is making the team) are going to the Dleague to get max minutes from the start, no wasting time on our bench. Meanwhile Riley will try to trade Chalmers, Shabazz and anyone else. Near December Winslow and Josh will come back to the Heat and immediately get worked into the lineup 5-10 minutes a game. We are really crowded at the guard spot and still lacking in the Center/PF rotation. small ball is not the answer and that worries me the most about this current team.
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

Sorry bro, but Winslow ain't going to the D-League. He's a lottery pick, he will get solid minutes off the bat.

Let me just start with the facts -
15 roster spots max
Here are our Guaranteed Contracts as of now:
1.Chris Bosh PF/C
2.Josh McRoberts PF
3.Udonis Haslem PF/C
4.Chris Andersen C
5.James Ennis SF
6. Mario Chalmers SG/PG
7. Zoran Dragic SG
8. Shabazz Napier SG
9. Hassan Whiteside C ( non-garaunteed, but HEAT have indicated they will pick it up)

Non Guaranteed Contracts
10. Tyler Johnson

Draft Picks
11. Justise Winslow -SF
12. Josh Richardson - SG

Free Agents
13. Dwayne Wade - SG
14. Goran Dragic - PG

Player Options
15. Luol Deng - SF

Not Returning
Beasley
Walker

Based on all the rumors we are hearing Goran will re-sign. I would bet Wade re-signs. Luol is still up in the air, and have no heard rumors either way.

Either way looks like we will have one to two free agent spots, at most, barring a big trade. If there was a trade typically we will receive assets back.

Uh, I've been holding off 2K since 2K13. Same fkn game every year with the same fkn problems.

I also want the new NFS because it reminds me of NFS: Underground I used to play on PS2. But I'm more of a simulator fan. Gran Turismo is the game I'm hoping for. I wish it were going to be announced this E3, but no. :( Nothing to compete with Forza for now. It's a great idea to get Arkham and other non-multiplayer titles used actually, thanks!

But think about it doe:

F - Bosh
F - Deng
C - Goatside
G - Dragic
G - Winslow

Dat defense. Also have two guys capable of scoring 20+ any night in Bosh/Dragic as well as two guys who you can count on for at least double-digit scoring in Deng/Goatside. Then the bench unit with Wade and McBob playmaking would clown opposing bench units.

Maybe in another year. It might be better for Winslow to not have the pressure of being a starter as a rookie anyways.

I think Wade off the bench is a great idea. It's not like he won't be getting starters minutes regardless. Our lack of bench was a big problem last year. It would give me a lot of confidence seeing Wade be first sub. That's scary for opposing teams. Wade as sixth man? That's awesome.

I can see a strong argument for trading Deng for some assets mid season.
