Adelman is going to be 70 next year and has said that he is done coaching and wants to care for his wife of failing health. Sorry, Naysayer, Karl is the man!

I believe he said the same thing before he went to the Twolves as well. Those who post without basis or lack content back their arguments with lines like that, congrats for once again completely misinterpreting a post on this board. Read the bolded again, write it down on the palm of your hand if you have to. True words of a naysayer alright!!

Well, you're wrong.

The team announced that the Rockets and Adelman "have mutually agreed to part ways." Adelman's contract expires on June 30.

General manager Daryl Morey said in a statement Monday night that the decision came after "numerous discussions and careful consideration."

Now, Adelman will take time to ponder his next move. He said in the last week of the Rockets' season that he still has a passion for the job.

"I don't think I've lost the desire to coach; I think I still can do it," Adelman said. "This team has been a lot of fun. It's been tough during the season. I tell people that, when you go through it, it's not so easy. But when you work with a group of guys who just won't quit, and play above and beyond what people expect them to do, that's a lot of fun when you look back on it."

Im just tired of the posters that take back handed shots at Vlade and Karl but then try to negate the backlash they might get by throwing their vote of confidence behind them just in case they succeed. I'm calling people out when I see it! Vlade is the Head of the team. Period. Karl is the coach. Fall in or fall out! I will back them and stand up and take the flake if they fail.

Yeah, I'm wrong:

"As the Houston Rockets continue to see their playoff hopes slowly die, holding a 25-30 record and in 11th place in the Western Conference, coach Rick Adelman has said he will contemplate retirement after his contract runs out this season."

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/608947-nba-rumors-10-reasons-houston-rockets-coach-rick-adelman-should-retire

I'm not going to say he 100% for sure said it or meant it, but I remember hearing that from more than a few sources while he was with the Rockets.

And I just "called you out" for firing shots in the wrong direction at the wrong time at the wrong person. Don't go firing off every which way but right all the while calling yourself a sharpshooter. Just because someone is critical of something doesn't mean they are all out. If you're going to overreact to every little statement someone makes on this board, or turn it into a straw man argument then you might not have the stomach for a board like this.

And as for Vlade I'd bet you could take a poll on this very board and you'd get darn near a 100% approval rating for Vlade the way he's handled this last week, so don't get it twisted. I think many here, including myself are in total sync with many of the opinions you have about this team, where it's at, and where it's headed.

If that's a reference to our recent conversation (regarding Vlade) you have misunderstood me. I have stated my adoration and support for Vlade on this board and the general board for months. He's long been my favorite current or former Kings player (along with Bobby Jackson) and I have been rooting for him to succeed.

I was worried based on the constant stream of national media reports, particularly those coming out one particular day, that management wasn't telling us the truth. Fortunately, to my knowledge, our front office hasn't lied to us so far. So far, management has demonstrated respect for Kings fans. I have no complaints in that regard as of yet.

If I ever were to criticize management, my criticisms would be based on the integrity with which they treated their fans. Whether we "succeed," in the sense of winning games is not something that changes my support of the Kings. In the 20 plus years I have followed them, they certainly haven't always been successful.

I also commented to you that trading Cousins was a bad idea, but that's an entirely different subject IMO. The integrity thing is the only serious issue for me.

In regards to Karl, most of us are only concerned that he is loyal to the organization. We'll see if he is. That's up to Vlade and Ranadive to decide.

Lastly, I admire your zeal for the team, but the spectrum of opinions on the forum makes for good healthy discussion. It's OK for people within a fan base to have differences of opinions. It's important to allow for these differences.

You don't need to be apologetic for an opinion on a freaking message board nor be bullied into recanting anything. haha. Boards like these should for fans to discuss and point out perceived flaws with the ideas and individuals involved with the team.

There is also good reason to feel the way you do about some of the things that are going on. You aren't pulling much of anything out of thin air at this point.

Very true and I know I have been going hard (pause) at people that doubt Vlade or Karl or believe the clearly bs media stuff imo. I won't apologize for my passion but I will try to remember this is a place for everyone to openly share their feelings and ideas and we all want the same thing in the end, atleast all the Kings fans! I only fire when fired upon or in defense of Our VP and coach haha. But yeah I will chill out now. REread some stuff from the last few days and realize I could have been more objective even tho I never think Im being mean or have a flat wrong idea or opinion.

I just want to be clear that I was on here defending him and Karl when alot of other posters were on the fence or believing or buying into the media hype. Im willing to stand up to the flake if I was wrong and Vlade totally craps the bed as VP and Karl gets fired.

Now let's start a movement for a Rick Adelman appreciation day or something the next time the TWolves play in SAC. See if we can get Vlade to get him to come to town with the team now that all the people Invovled in not resigning him are gone. Sac fans should and would definitely show him some love for the for 7 straight yrs of great teams and and getting robbed in 02! Maybe we already ddi something for him but I don't remember.

Believe me bro, we're on the same team here. That's a pretty important thing on Realgm too, you think the Kings fans doubts are bad wait until the hordes of trolls from the other boards jump on ready to bash and pillage at the first sign of trouble next year.
