W/ the way #Hornets are doing business right now seems to me they should give Raps a call a/b DeRozan. Would have to part ways w/ future 1st
The suggested trade was something like - Marvin/Roberts/2016 1st for Derozan. I'm not a fan, simply because if fit. Forces one of Batum or MKG to bench, doesn't help 3pt shooting, lessens chance of resigning Batum. Bigger need point guard.
Use Marvin (or Hawes) + 2016 top 10 protected 1st to find a point guard.

Re: 2015-16 Fake Trade Thread
What point guards can we target with Marvin + 2016 1st? Feel free to include Roberts as well. Who is looking to shed salary?

Ty Lawson? (just drafte Mudiay)
Bledsoe? (if they want to tank)
Jeff Teague (if they think Schroder is the future pg)
Brandon Jennings (ew)
Darren Collison? (if they cant get Lawson)
would've put Avery Bradley, but he isnt a PG (averages 1.5 assists)

Re: 2015-16 Fake Trade Thread
Wish there was a way to get Ennis from the Bucks, now that they have an overload of PGs.
Jack, mentioned many times could be had.
Would anyone entertain Jrue Holiday?

The Bucks are probably looking to shed salary and have a surplus of points but I'd rather not help them out. The Nets would likely want to shed salary but they'd be taking on an extra million with Marvin to send us Jarrett Jack, they'd probably go for it though if Thad Young walks. Collison is a possibility if the Kings trade for Lawson, although I imagine either Denver or Sacramento would want to keep him. Felton in Dallas is also a possibility, I doubt either he nor us would be interested though. Calderon In NY is a possibility too, if they plan to go after another PG in free agency we could probably just do a straight swap with them.
Out of all of those I think Jack and Calderon are the most likely to happen. Jennings is a possibility too, but given our team's MO I don't think we'd go after him.
Edit: I doubt the Pacers would go for this unless they're planning to tank, which they've never done, but a home run trade for us would be Roberts, Marvin, and our 2016 1st to Indiana for George Hill.

Butter!!!!!!
Seriously, what is Kendall Marshall up to? He played really well in LA after starting his NBA career a little shaky.

He tore his ACL and missed the second have of the season. Dont know where he is in the rehab process but he would be an ideal back up PG target if he is healthy.
Also dont see any reason not to give Seth Curry a summer league invite.

Hornets get Collison and Thompson from Kings
Mavericks get Big Al from Hornets
Kings get Rondo from Mavs in a S & T
Doubt Mavs consider this unless they strike out on signing Deandre Jordan...then MAYBE they'd think about it...but I don't think we get that lucky

That was my thinking because I don't think Jordan goes there, he would be crazy to leave that Clippers roster for the Mavs roster

Mayo+Ennis for Marvin+Roberts+Nets 2nd. Not sure if Bucks would do this but they trade 2 guys who would fuss over playing time for two guys who won't . We get another shooter and back up pg.

i don't even need Ennis to do this deal. I'd do Marv, Roberts, 2nd for Mayo straight up
investigate Adam Silver

What would it take to get Nerlens Noel from Philly?

it would certainly be either young players or future picks. we don't really have a lot of good young players right now i'm not sure how we could make something work.

Re: 2015-16 Fake Trade Thread
Marvin's expiring for Jason Thompson, throw in a NJ Nets 2nd rounder if necessary…
We get a guy who can defend and rebound against bigs.
Like Lamb, this is a guy we've been linked to in the past. And he makes more sense now that SAC drafted WCS and we lost Biz. I don't believe we've given up on JT.

If Cho gets canned this year, I nominate Ichiro as our new GM. Love the moves mentioned prior to this, and this makes a ton of sense too. Between the Batum connection from PDX and the Lamb rumors that have been going on for a 1.5 years, JT would be up there with longest crush for the Bobcats/Hornets.

Birdman for one Nets pick and Marvin
we get a defender, Miami gets a shooter/backup SF.

I'm a little confused about why that would help. Didn't SAC draft WCS specifically because they wanted better defense from their non-Cousins big man spot? I think our rebounding will be fine with the pieces we've got, and I don't see Thompson as a particularly reliable rim protector.
I really don't track Sacramento that closely though so maybe I'm off on that.

Thompson is not a good defender but he would be light years ahead of anyone we throw in the post.
