Think Chandler would be a good fit with this team, just wish he was 5 years younger. Monroe is very interesting to me, not as good of a fit as Chandler but I'd be willing to take a chance especially considering he's just looking for a short-term deal.

Even though we all knew that he wouldn't sign here, it was still cool to think that we were at least meeting with him. Gave the league a whole new perception of us. I think that perception will still come across the whole league though, but through Rolo or somebody else, not DeAndre.

Its hard to get excited for Chandler given the contract he will demand, I think at this point he might have more value off the court than on it. He might be a better option than the alternatives tho I guess.

I have a hard time believing Monroe is a worst defender than Zaza, that's pretty discouraging if true but I think offensively he'd fit perfectly with what Kidd wants to do plus he's still young enough to be a core piece.

Monroe is one of the worst pick and roll defenders in the league. Not a fan of his game but it doesn't matter because he's heading to ny.

Really isn't that bad of a pick and roll defender.

Jordan would be a disaster in MKE. He's a dick and he's horribly, horribly overrated. Take him away from Chris Paul and he'll show his true colors.

I'd prefer Monroe, but I doubt we get him. I don't want Chandler on anything other than a 2 year deal. Honestly, I'd rather just stick with Zaza until we can line someone up for the future. I don't want to overpay an imperfect player without much potential.

Greg Monroe said five teams have shown strong interest as he enters free agency.

Monroe said he will meet this week with the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Lakers and Portland Trail Blazers.

“(He and agent David Falk) are definitely looking at all our options,” he said. “You can see the trend is everybody’s taking shorter deals right now. So, most likely, I might take that route, too, and when the new deal kicks in, get a longer-term contract.

Greg Monroe is a much better target than Tyson Chandler. Glad he's looking for a shorter deal, the 5 teams he's meeting will probably offer about the same amount of money, so it boils down to which team he prefers to play on. Hopefully Monroe is keen to join Kidd and play with a promising young Bucks team.

Is he so hopeless on D that this wouldn't be worth the risk?

If we think he is a Drew Gooden type putting up empty stats I get being opposed. But that seems too harsh a comparison.

Understand Monroe's weaknesses but he's very intriguing.

ZaZa is a smart defender. That's how we made it work despite him not being able to jump.

I know Monroe is a good passer so hopefully he can develop his defensive IQ to not be a liability in our system.

Otherwise we could badly use his rebounding and post play, plus he can shoot a bit I think.

Last season 10-16 feet: 32% 16-3P: 35%
Career 10 - 16 feet: 34% 16-3P: 31%

If he can shoot pretty much everyone in the league can. The role players we pay need to be all about shooting, defense or both. I don't see anywhere near $15 million of value in Monroe, I don't even know what the argument is.

I see a lot of what Monroe does offensively is what Jabari Parker will provide (plus Parker will have a better jump shot and more agility). Just compare the highlights. I'd much rather have a shot blocker and occasional shooter at the C position and Monroe won't really give you that. Horford would pretty much be perfect.

I would look to take a flyer on cheaper alternatives maybe ajinca or javale mcgee they both give us length and shot blocking. Javale is WCS ceiling why not take a chance on him he's not a stiff and he has improved his bbiq.

I don't think I could take a season of watching Mcgee play basketball.

As much as it would be cool to have Jordan here, there would definitely be issues. If I'm not mistaken, CP3 told him he needed to work on his free throws and Jordan got all mad and offended by it.

Monroe is a very good rebounder, good passer, always makes the right play, can score in the post and is a good man and post defender but bad help defender. He is not a shot blocker but because Milwaukee has such strong individual defenders and team defense, I think Monroe will be fine as Bucks last line of defense. I think Monroe would be a good fit for the Bucks although you'd need some more shooters.

I'm intrigued by Monroe because of his rebounding, passing and ability to put the ball in the hoop. But if he is just a bit bigger Drew Gooden of course we don't want any part of that.

However if it's a 2-3 year deal for Monroe or Chandler, I might err on the guy who has a chance of staying longer term and growing with our team.

Would prefer Monroe to Brook Lopez and Chandler. I don't think we have any chance at Jordan.

None of the options are very appealing when balancing age, cost and skillset.

Is he the missing piece though? Feels like we are at least two years away. And he sounds like he's signing a 2 year deal.

He's going to NY. He's just pandering to the NY fans. So they think he's the missing piece. Which they probably believe.
