That said, I bet he has better suitors than the Suns and will probably go elsewhere. Plus if he asks his cousin Frye about the Suns, I bet Frye screws the Suns over.

Harris is a really interesting case. Raw numbers look great, advanced stats paint him as a replacement-level player. No idea what to think of him; still looks like a tweener without a real position. Not big/strong enough to defend 4s or crash the glass, not quick enough to defend 3s.

Still, I like the idea of what he could be if he develops properly, so I think he's worth a shot.

imo Harris is so overrated. Terrible defender and hasn't exactly shown much improvement in recent years

Advanced stats hate him

He's still young, but doesn't exactly fill any of our more urgent needs.

I could easily see Warren being the better player in 2-3 years. Rather run with him than pay big money to that dude

If Warren eventually gets stronger and a little bigger, I could totally see him spotting minutes as a small ball 4 like Harris does sometimes

His assist numbers are inflated though... I mean, most of the games I've seen him get assists consisted of him at the top of the key or at the perimeter... he rotates the ball to Curry or Thompson for a contested 3pt made shot... +1 assist there.
I am impressed with his ability to "bang", "hold" bigger players than him and the referees ignore it.... mainly because he is undersized and he makes it look like he is the one being fouled. But he is smart that way... you hate it when he does it to your favorite team, but would LOVE it if he does it for YOUR team.

The guy does have great court vision, passing skills and offensive awareness for a wing/big man though. The offensive system is there to allow him to utilise his skillset. I think he could be a step below Boris Diaw in terms of passing ability.

I say the Suns go for big name free agent like Love/Aldridge/Jordan..
If they succeed, they keep Bledsoe.
If they come up short, they trade Bledsoe for a quality player. I just don't know who.

I wish someone with insider access to the Suns would post occasionally and give an update of what this team is thinking. :-?

Anyone else want to try to push for Paul George? That would be a great addition to lure a prime free-agent.

Morri, Tucker, Warren, Booker...add another pick if necessary for PG,

PHX then uses space and gravitas of adding George to sign Love or Aldridge. PHX would still have some cap and a TE to use to sign other players. Maybe Wright, Amare, or re-sign Green.
PHX goes with

Bled/ Goodwin
Knight/ Bullock
George/ Granger
Love/ FA/ Leuer
Len/ FA

IND goes with

Hill/ FA
Booker/ Tucker
Warren/ Morris/ Rudez
Morris/ Turner/Whittington
Hibbert/ Mahinmi

That's still a playoff team in the East I think and with a better prospect for the future. They would have some cap to spend on an additional FA or two as well. They might even be able to squeeze into the Danny Green discussions with this.

Marc Stein's information is usually always legit. Idk what the Suns are planning. I do not even have a clue.

Notice he said "feeling around the league". The same was said when we acquired Bledsoe and everyone assumed we would trade Dragic. I for one don't believe we move Bledsoe unless it's for a player of equal caliber and age at the 3 or 4, or for a younger player with tremendous upside.

That is a long shot. I don't think our FO leaks that kind of info.

But if you're a star, wouldn't you want to play in that situation with those young guys? Not to mention a young rim protector in Len and a possible sharp shooter in Booker. I would be courting him very hard right now.

EDIT: This would be to position for next offseason and making a case to someone like Durant when the salary cap should explode.

I hate to pop the bubble on the Draymond Green and Durant dreams, but I'm going to go ahead and pop it.

Durant is always and forever going to be a dream and not a reality, but I don't see how Draymond isn't available. I'm pretty sure Golden State would have to find a taker for David Lee to have enough money to keep him, and I think they tried to draft his replacement with Looney. I don't know who is willing to swallow Lee's contract.

Everyone loves to talk about Kieff not being a good enough defender or rebounder, well Draymond does both. Ball movement was another issue we had last season, and even if Draymond's assists were swing it around passes to Steph and Klay, he's willing to move the ball.

I don't think we have the luxury to grab the sure-thing guys like Love and Aldridge. We're gonna have to gamble on the guy who was third (or fourth) banana on the Champs and hope he's good enough to become a next level guy. I mean, that's been our MO. Knight was putting up good numbers on a not too good Bucks team, Bledsoe was a super-sub for the Clippers. Defense and rebounding are motor-based aspects of the game, and I'd be comfortable betting 14 million a year on a guy with want-to.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

I listened to the podcast Stein alluded to. The Bledsoe stuff was brought up by Windhorst who said "I think Bledsoe will be available." Then Amin Elhassan said he thinks the Suns like Knight's leadership more than Bledsoe. That's all there was to it.

Kerrsed, you should just insta ban those people "bullying" the insiders. 24 hour bans should suffice.
We've all seen it, the constant questioning and pressure and accusation... should send out warnings and bans for posters putting pressure and accusing the insiders consistently... trying to undermine/mock them.

Fans here should appreciate others are risking their sources to share glimpses of what the FO is thinking, they shouldnt have to put up with posters bullying them to admit their sources or otherwise.

I think it's just talk. It makes sense if you have two highly paid players in the same position, you would think it's possible one would be traded in the future. Is that really McD's mindset though? Who knows

I doubt Bledsoe gets moved but for fun was thinking of possible destinations.

Philly could make some sense if they wanted to actually try and win this coming year but unfortunately I think they will tank it up at least one more year. They could put together a package with one of their young bigs.

Chicago if they thought he could play with rose. I'd take mirotic but not sure Chicago would do that.

Houston would probably have interest but I'm not sure if they have a package to get it done. Maybe though; I guess it depends how much the suns like dmo.

Sacramento would probably be interested too but again I don't see an obvious package that the suns would want (they are keeping cousins).

Other than that it's hard to think of many more teams that have the combination of need and assets to get it done.

If Lakers sign Aldridge or Love.. I can see a 3 way trade with Lakers, Sacramento, and Phoenix. Cousins coming to Phoenix. Bledsoe to LA and Russell to Sacramento.. Fillers too of course.

Lakers / Suns
When Lakers strike out on big FAs.... Jeanie sounds desperate to make the playoffs and appease the Laker fans.

Bledsoe, Morris twins
for
Russell

Correct. The Bledsoe rumors are just that, rumors brought up by other teams beat writers to feed to their fans. They dont say much about their teams, because if they are found out to be wrong, the fans will have their heads and lose trust in them, so the throw info out their about other teams players. It happens alot.
