Henson just played really well in the Playoffs and MCW was effective more than he wasn't in his short stint. Both are good players and underrated here (not by everybody, of course).

This board typically likes to hype worthless guys like JOB or Jorge or whoever, while devaluing guys who can actually play.

But we're all entitled to our opinion. Bledsoe is overrated, is mine.

Please show me one post where someone hyped JOB. Just one. Not saying there isn't one, but I'd love to see it either way.

People bash him on a regular basis.

The most complimentary post on JOB that I've seen is maybe give him another year to see if he improves. The worst I've seen is he's the worst player in the NBA. In what way is that hype?

MCW/Henson/1st is too much for Bledsoe.

This deal could potentially end up being equivalent to Middleton/Knight for BK in reverse. I wouldn't deal MCW for Eric Bledsoe without adding Henson. Bledsoe is worse than Knight at moving the ball.

Why would Kidd deal a player because of his lack of passing, then months later acquire a player even worse in that area?

We're in the business of trading firsts now? For a guy like Bledsoe? That rebuild went a lot faster than I thought.

Free Agency Thread - Will meet w/Monroe, pg. 18

I'm not entirely sure I'd do MCW straight up for Bledsoe given contracts. Remember, MCW had no chance to work on his shot last offseason due to surgery. I'm willing to give him an offseason to see what improvement he can make in that area. Bledsoe doesn't exactly light it up either.

I'd agree with that. But just MCW and Henson? I'd think about that one.

I'd greatly prefer Monroe to guys like Chandler and Jordan, but I still have my question marks with regards to his being able to space the floor a bit with a midrange jumper and him slowing down the offense a bit too much with his back to the basket play.

With that being said, I think many here are a year or so behind on his defensive abilities. The Pistons were actually BETTER with him on the floor than off on that end this season by 2 points per 100 possessions, and was praised by Zach Lowe on his PNR defense:

Per Zach Lowe
Detroit A.S. (After Smoove) has actually been at its best with both Drummond and Monroe on the floor, per NBA.com. Monroe is beasting in the post, dishing snappy interior passes, and making smart reads on defense. He’ll never be a rim protector, but opposing ball handlers are shooting just 38.5 percent on pick-and-rolls in which Monroe’s man is the screener — a strong number, per Synergy.

Here's another blurb from sports nation: http://www.detroitbadboys.com/2015/1/30/7913159/pistons-news-roundup-greg-monroe-defense-trade-rumors

He's at that developmental stage where a lot of high IQ big men really start to get it on that end, and it seems he may be starting to.

Seems like a steep price to pay... Count me in the camp that thinks Bledsoe is overrated, especially by this board.

This board fondly remembers his Clippers days and conveniently forgets his Suns days. I would not do the suggested deal and feel the Bucks would be a large net loser, if made.

Don't really know what you mean by this. Since becoming a starter the last two seasons Bledsoe is averaging 18/5/6/1.6 on good efficiency (56% TS). He's a top 5 defender at his position and has also dispelled a lot of the durability issues he had in his 1st year with them (only missed one game last year).

If Phoenix is dumb enough to prefer Knight on equal money over Bledsoe, I say we try and take advantage of their stupidity.

definetly do MCW Henson for Bledsoe - No draft pick. Add Butler if salary filler is needed

Peter: Wow, you got a great view into Bonnie's window from here. Man, how do you get any work done?

Stewie: What do you mean? Lois is prettier than Bonnie. Oh, I get it. It's worse, but it's different. Okay, all right, so that's something.

Agreed. Who knows what PHX is thinking these days. You at least make the call.

The guy was the catalyst for the Suns being competitive in the West the last two years. Does he have his 3-13 shooting nights with 6 turnovers? Of course. That's precisely why he's available. We aren't getting Michael Jordan types.

So what you're saying is we're not in the acquiring assets business, we're in the selling assets business. And cousin, business is a-boomin.
