Agreed. Who knows what PHX is thinking these days. You at least make the call.

The guy was the catalyst for the Suns being competitive in the West the last two years. Does he have his 3-13 shooting nights with 6 turnovers? Of course. That's precisely why he's available. We aren't getting Michael Jordan types.

Maybe they value Knight over Bledsoe for good reason?

I guess I still like MCW more than most here and think he'll be a solid point guard for this crew for a long time.

Still don't want anything to do with Bledsoe if it involves MCW/Henson/1st

I honestly would love to get Monroe. He is basically the prototype of the type of center I feel like Kidd would want. Solid scorer, good passer, good rebounder, and an okay defender.

I think Philly would want another asset, but that would be a dream trade for the Bucks!

I'm certainly in a minority here, but I'd much rather see how MCW develops this year. He is always going to be a flawed player, but I expect him to be a much better player next year.

Who will be the Buck’s Centers? Free Agents Options other than Gasol.

NOT INTERESTED
Brooks 26-22.8- too injury prone- too sucky on D & reb / not good investment of max dollars
Chandler 32- 20.1- old but still good – depends on yrs he wants – if he insists on more than two – PASS

my preference for starting Center (age & PER for reference) / challenge to sign

1. Monroe-25-21.3 / Knicks are pursuing
2. Jordan-25-21.0 / Lakers are interesting to him
3. Kanter-23-20.4 / RFA and OKC wants to resign him
4. Asik-28-15.5 / don’t know how Pelicans feel about him?
5. Speights-28-19.6 / RFA and GS wants to resign him – may be open to S&T?
6. Robin-27-16.3 / Likes Portland but maybe open now that LMA is leaving?
7. KOQ-24-14.9 / RFA and ORL may want to resign him
8. Koufos-26-14.2 / he wants to start

my preference for two backup Centers
1. Henson-24-18.1
2. Aldrich-26-18.2
3. Zaza-31-15.7
4. KOQ-24-14.9
5. Ajinca-28-20.4
6. Plumlee

I'm with you here. I want to give him a full offseason where he can get in the gym and shoot all day every day. He has the same story as Giannis, if he can develop any sort of midrange jumper, he's going to be a solid in the nba with his length, passing ability and defensive prowess.

Edit: to help some people maybe feel better, he shot over 50% from 10'-16' with the bucks, as well as improving his FT% by almost 15%. Don't know if the shot doctor was able to help him or what, but his percentages were vastly improved across the board after coming to MIL. I'm very excited to see what he and Oppenheimer can do with an entire summer.

Well I for one already consider Bledsoe a fringe allstar and if the people with the wait and see are just hoping MCW will become a average pg why not just give them MCW and Henson (I doubt we would resign him) and get the sure thing who is only 2 years older...

It's a bridge you could cross anyway when you come to it. You gotta take the established core player like Monroe when you can get them.

But then MCW really should be sent packing because his lack of shooting just isn't going to work with a guy like Monroe in the same lineup. I still daydream of prying Schroeder away from Atlanta with Teague an all-star. Schroeder/Middleton/Parker/Giannis/Monroe would be the best transition team God ever created. Buku fan ingratiation and plenty of wins to come with it. Plus, Monroe nor Jabari would have to play as much halfcourt d.

Can't And'1 this enough. I wish we'd conserve our splurging until after we have a good idea of what Jabari will be. Right now though Bucks fans are expediting the process and trying to put finishing touches on a roster that still needs to solidify its core.

But will MCW ever get to the level of the great Brandon Jennings?

The great thing about Monroe wanting a 2 year deal + option is that you know he will be highly motivated and will play his butt off these 2 years to get that max contract he desires. It'd be excellent for the Bucks offer him a hefty 2 year contract + option that he wants and convince him to join our promising young team. I see plenty of upside to getting Monroe and he's only 25, could still get better with the Bucks.

If we just have to sign a center, Monroe is my favorite rumor right now. He wants a short term deal, he has a semblance of an offensive game, can rebound, can pass and is better at defense than given credit.

People say they don't want to take shots away from Parker/Giannis and give them to Monroe. I'm not sure if I am right or not, but I don't think Kidd is ever looking to have a team where one guy has to average 25. He preaches team. Monroe/Giannis/Parker/Mids/MCW is a pretty intriguing starting 5 and if Giannis or MCW can learn to shoot, it's a damn good team.

I'll gladly take a 2 year flyer on Monroe over Chandler, Brook or Robin. I'd prefer him even to Jordan who's going to be exposed should he go to a team with a PG who can't make him look good.

2 year deal for Monroe would be a great deal for both sides.

I'd actually like to see what shots he was taking before and after the trade...Seemed like he was just taking less ill advised and 3 pt shots, and settling for more make-able ones (which is a good thing).

Isn't Oppenheimer out? Bucks going after LAC shooting coach I read.

Your concerns are valid but it has to do with the Bucks as an organization being all in on both Jabari and Giannis becoming studs. If only one makes it to say top 10 status and the other falls flat the plan falls apart one way or another.

I would say that if that ends up being the case it would still be best to have assembled the best team around him in the off hopes that either could hit top 3 or even MVP status and potentially carry a solid/good supporting cast to a chip. But I'll probably be in the minority here with that type of thinking

Then again if you think both are going to fall short of star status then were screwed either way
