I think all those guys sign with winning teams if they even do sign deals (talking about Ray allen). Signing with New York would be too big of a risk of not playing competitive basketball. Honestly we need to go with people that either have something to prove or want to be here.

FREE AGENT/Trade/Transaction Idea thread

Knowing the position the Knicks are in not having a first round pick next year, Phil is going to overpay for one player who is borderline allstar and it's going to screw you guys for the next 5 years along with Melos contract

Sup Fellas, how available is Quincy Acy? I know he's a FA but how likely are you guys to match an offer sheet?

I wanted to comment on the other thread, locked, about the Bulls and Knicks trading. I think the Bulls would trade just about every player on their roster for Porz.

We'll have cap space next year too, so it's no biggie. It's just about picking the right guy.

Al-Farouq Aminu meeting with New York Knicks

Post#5019 » by Scalabrine » Mon Jun 29, 2015 5:38 pm

http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/238454/Al-Farouq-Aminu-To-Meet-With-Knicks-Celtics-Blazers-Raptors-Pelicans

Aminu is meeting with a few teams according to the article, the first of which on the list is the New York Knicks.

He's also meeting with Boston, Portland, Toronto, New Orleans, and the Mavs are also still in the mix.

Opinions on the guy?

I believe he was a minimum salary player last year and he will probably be looking for a deal around the 4-6 million range depending on years.

He's a great energy guy that always seems to be in every play on both ends. Kind of reminds me of a young Gerald Wallace in that sense, but Wallace had more offensive moves. Both are/were 3/4's, great defender, not known as shooters though.

Would you be happy with Aminu putting on the orange and blue? At what cost? Where does he rank in terms of 3/4/small ball 5's on your list?
Go Knicks!
